Become an Icon of the Future—Professor M.S. Rao, Ph.D.—21st-Century Philosopher & The Father of “Soft Leadership”

“See the light in you. Your life is in your hands. Enjoy every moment by looking at the positive aspects. Build a new foundation with the bricks thrown at you. Turn your scars into stars. Life is great." ―Professor M.S. Rao, Ph.D.

Research shows that people waste 30 percent of their precious time thinking about their past. They waste their precious time by thinking about their unpleasant past and live with emotional baggage. The fact of life is that the past cannot be changed and the future cannot be predicted. Therefore, wisdom lies in living in the present without brooding over the unpleasant past.

How to Live in the Present?

"If your mind carries a heavy burden of the past, you will experience more of the same. The past perpetuates itself through a lack of presence. The quality of your consciousness at this moment is what shapes the future." ―Eckhart Tolle

Everyone undergoes pain in life. Most individuals are afraid of unveiling it to avoid ridicule and criticism. Nobody's life is perfect. We are living with imperfect people in an imperfect world. Instead of trying to perfect people and the world, let us strive to make people and the world better with our contributions. Here are some tips to live in the present. Learn to live with realities. Count your blessings, not brickbats. Accept your past mistakes to come out of emotional baggage. Take feedback from past unpleasant experiences to lead your life mindfully. Learn lessons. Take appropriate precautions to avoid repeating the same mistakes. Thank the toxic people for giving you challenges because they helped you unlock your hidden potential and overcome challenges successfully. Forgive them for letting you down and betraying you. Hate is heavy. Let it go. Overcome the ‘victim mindset’. Remember that life is not fair. Set goals and focus on them to move forward. Be positive and optimistic. Associate with positive people. Detach from negative people and attach to positive people to lead your life mindfully. Be grateful for what you have. Write a gratitude journal.

I made peace with my alcoholic father’s litigations, whining mother's negativity, and fraudulent siblings’ betrayals. I made peace with my father-in-law’s betrayal and brother-in-law’s backstabbing. I am happy because I have forgiven them and moved on with life lessons. I focus on sharing my knowledge freely with the world and making a difference in their lives. I invest my time, energy, and effort in contributing my best to the world within my capacities and abilities.

Become the Best Version of Yourself

"Some of us think holding on makes us strong, but sometimes it is letting go." ―Herman Hesse

Don’t waste your precious time digging into your past. Forget the unpleasant past and move on. Currently, relationships start with an expiry date, unlike in the past when the relationships emphasized longevity. Don't become a prisoner of the past. Become an icon of the future. Don't let outer people dictate your inner world. Don't let negative people enter your mind and drag you emotionally. Everything happens for a reason. Don't see the unpleasant dark. Instead, see the pleasant light. Focus on building your future. Become the best version of yourself.

Lead Your Life Mindfully

"Make peace with your past so it won't destroy your present." ―Paulo Coelho

Everybody wants to lead a cozy and rosy life which is not possible. Life is incomplete without struggle and suffering because they provide meaning to life. To summarize, it doesn't make any sense to live in the unpleasant past. Life is not a straight line. Accept the realities of life, let go of the past, and move on with valuable takeaways. Be mindful to lead your life meaningfully. Life is great!

We must be willing to let go of the life we've planned, to have the life that is waiting for us." ―Joseph Campbell.
