People are
born and dead. We don’t remember them. But we remember great leaders like Mahatma
Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, and Nelson Mandela for their
contributions. They left their legacies for their next generations. So, they
are remembered beyond their lifetime. What legacy are you going to leave to
your next generation? How would you like to impact and inspire the world? What
would you like to be remembered for?
Start now to
create your leadership legacy. Draw a strategy how would you like to be
remembered for. Trifurcate it into personal, professional, and social life.
Think of how you can add value to others. Start serving your local communities.
Don't take time for granted. Time goes by quickly. Utilize every moment to
impact and inspire the world. Manage your time and lead your life carefully to
leave your legacy. As parents leave their legacy for their children, they must
leave their legacy to the world by making a difference globally.
What you
give to your children will be forgotten soon but what you give to the world
will be remembered forever beyond your lifetime. Be strategic and visionary.
Share whatever you have. If you don't have wealth, share your time, knowledge,
and abilities with the world. They create ripples. Here are some templates to consider
and customize as per your passion and vision.
I want to be
remembered as a visionary leader who shared knowledge freely with the world
despite several financial constraints and challenges. I want to be remembered
as an inspiring leader who acquired several qualifications despite being born
in a toxic family and grown up in a toxic environment. I want to be remembered
for leaving a legacy to my next generations by fighting against all odds
throughout my life. I would like to be remembered as an unsung hero for making
a difference in the global society.
Takeaway: Make the
world better and safer for the next generations. Life is a gift from God. Leave
your leadership legacy.
