“Nothing is
greater than serving others with a great heart. We live in a world where there
is a huge competition for takers and the least competition for givers. So, be a
giver and serve your societies and communities to build a better world.”
―Professor M.S. Rao
In this post,
I share with you how to impact the world positively. When you wake up from your
bed, be grateful for what you have; and before you go the bed, express your
gratitude. During the day, add value to others. Give a smile to a stranger. A
smile is a small curve that sets everything alright. Encourage people around
you. Appreciate and inspire one person every day. Make people around you feel
important. People remember how you made them comfortable and special. Treat all
people equally irrespective of their rank and position. Life is a gift from
God.
Mother
Teresa said, "I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone
across the water to create many ripples." The ripple effect is also known
as the domino effect and butterfly effect. It gives compound returns. Cast a
stone. When you do good, you get good in compound returns. It is a ripple
effect. Many unsung heroes and heroines are creating ripples globally. Although
their efforts are unrecognized, they are happy with what they have done for
their societies. They work for a cause, not applause. During the coronavirus,
the essential care workers worked hard, saved the lives of the people and made
a difference globally. They are the true soldiers and leaders who cast their
stones across the water and created ripples globally. I salute them. Let us all
contribute our best to create ripples globally to build a compassionate world.
Take up a
noble idea. Create your vision. Lead by character. Lead by example. Lead from
the front. Be in the front line. Communicate clearly. Keep people before the
profit. Build your credibility. Contribute your best. Leave your leadership
legacy.
The Ripple Effect Is Real
Each one has
a unique journey in life. It is not what you achieve but how you impact and
inspire the world matters at the end of the day. Don't try to impress people
but to inspire people. The impression is short-term while the impact is
long-term. Don't just live for today. Live beyond your lifetime. Try to
influence, impact and inspire others to leave your legacy.
“The
leader’s main job is to make themselves obsolete.” ―Lao Tzu
