The 4 AM Rule: Why Successful People Wake Up Early

“My daily rituals: I wake up at 4 AM and sleep at 10 PM. In the morning, I create knowledge. In the afternoon, I acquire knowledge. In the evening, I eliminate irrelevant information. In the night, I prepare for the next day.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

When you look at successful people and high achievers including Tim Cook and Oprah Winfrey, they wake up at 4 AM. They are early risers. There are several advantages associated with setting a daily morning routine. You start the day with energy and enthusiasm. You unlock your potential. You become creative and solve problems. You become positive and proactive. You are more focused and concentrate on your tasks effectively. You remain calm and clear-headed. You become productive because you are free from distractions. You leverage your brain’s functioning capacity and make decisions smartly. You overcome your weaknesses and leverage your strengths.

I served in the Indian Air Force. I cultivated the habit of waking up at 4 AM from the military. I undertake three tasks every day. I prioritize one main task to be executed that is urgent and important. I feed my subconscious mind in the previous day about the tasks to be executed the next day. I have the entire day under my control. I am very creative and explore new ideas. As an author, I write in the morning. I am highly focused. I am clear-headed. My mind is capable of deep and profound learning. I am awake and alert. I don't multitask. I avoid social media. My energy levels are at my peak. I remain calm and relaxed at this time. There will not be any distractions. I have a high positive attitude. I am confident without any anxiety.

Successful people minimize bad habits and maximize good habits. They have set a pattern of life. Precisely, here are some qualities of the high achievers and successful people who wake up at 4 AM―creativity, positive attitude, productivity, performance, time management, focus, concentration, positive energy, and enthusiasm.

Takeaway: The early risers have a more positive attitude than the night owls. Therefore, wake up at 4 AM to keep your day going with energy and enthusiasm. Remember that a disciplined morning leads to a disciplined day. So, be disciplined to wake up at 4 AM. A strong and consistent routine can support a successful life. To conclude, decide how and when you want to wake up.
