“Be
passionate, persistent, and patient. There is nothing like an overnight
success. Work hard, wise, and smart to stand out from others. I failed many
times in my life. I fail every day. But I don't have any regrets because I
learn lessons and move on with valuable takeaways.” ―Professor M.S. Rao
Some people
are non-conformists and create history. They cannot be understood by average
individuals. Only time will tell their genius. For instance, Einstein was one
such scientist who continues to inspire many scientists and others globally. He
was unique because he had a rare imagination. He was unique because he had an
unconventional way of looking at the problems. He was unique because he was an
out-of-the-box thinker. He was unique because he was persistent by nature. He
was unique and that is why we remember and respect him even today.
As a
professor, I observed many students. I found some students to be dull and
docile. When I encouraged them, the best within them came out. Einstein was not
a good student academically. He was a school dropout. He failed in exams. He
was rebellious by nature. He was a non-conformist. He wrote several books. He
was also a philosopher. He was curious and persistent. He was neglected and
ridiculed in his initial life but later respected. He could break the
limitations of human imagination. He showed that human imagination is unlimited
while knowledge is limited.
Some people
mature late. They are late bloomers. They mature late but they grow like a
bamboo tree. So, don't write off students and children because they don't do
well academically initially.
The world is
growing due to non-conformists and unreasonable people. They don’t settle for
less. They keep trying and finding new things. They don’t entertain naysayers.
Takeaway: Einstein's
unique way of thinking contributed to his genius. Curiosity matters more than
so-called smartness. So, be curious and persistent to achieve amazing success. The
world has progressed due to unreasonable people and non-conformists. Be a
non-conformist in Einstein's way.
“Blind
respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth.” ―Albert Einstein
