Strategies to Motivate Your Team during Uncertainty

The leaders find it challenging to motivate their teams and remain optimistic due to the COVID-19. They must explore various tools and techniques to be bullish and resilient in these trying times. In this regard, we will discuss the ways and means to be resilient, motivate teams, and stay focused clearly on your goals and objectives.

Resilience is the ability to bounce back from shocks, setbacks, and disasters. It is the ability to recover by understanding the situation and adapting to unfavorable circumstances. Here are some tips to build resilience. Treat challenges as opportunities. Maintain good health. Surround with positive and healthy people. Build a team of people to support you during the crises and also support them whenever they are in crisis. Treat failures as lessons. Be part of the solution, not the problem. Set realistic goals and celebrate whenever you accomplish them. Develop an attitude of gratitude. Thank the people who supported you in your life journey.

Here are some tools to be resilient. Develop a philosophy that crises are an integral part of life. Develop a positive perception of adversity and embrace uncertainty. Be prepared for the worst and hope for the best. Don't get carried away by emotions. Ensure that your head rules your heart. Be calm and composed. Have an internal locus of control. Be courageous and confident.


Strategies to Motivate Your Team during Uncertainty

Leaders must be resilient to motivate their teams during turbulent times. Here are some strategies to inspire your team during uncertainty. Create a few positive messages and ask your team to repeat them. Share striking stories or anecdotes to connect and convince your team. Involve and encourage your team to come up with innovative ideas and insights to overcome the uncertainty. In this way, your team will come forward eagerly and participate actively to overcome the challenge. 

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. We must embrace uncertainty and live with it in the prevailing pandemic world. We must differentiate between what we can control and what we cannot control. Let us not worry about the things that we cannot control. Let us understand this fact in the present tough times of coronavirus. Let us make peace with the present. Let us learn lessons from past pandemics and crises. Let us educate and enlighten teams on how we humans have come out of those challenges successfully in the past. Life is never a straight line. Similarly, the lives of organizations are never straight because every organization has a life cycle. Therefore, let us understand this fact and be bullish and resilient in uncertain times.

I enjoyed it thoroughly as the theme aligns with my award-winning book ‘Spark: The Power to Become Big is Within You.’ https://www.amazon.com/Spark-Power-Become-Big-Within-ebook/dp/B07P64KDF3 and https://www.amazon.in/Spark-Power-Become-Big-Within-ebook/dp/B07P64KDF3 It is about the law of attraction, positivity, and creating inner environment and happiness to create external happiness and bliss. It outlines interviews of eminent authors and philosophers on self-help, positive psychology, and mindfulness. It unveils the secrets to unlimited joy, health, money, relationships, and love.

In the past, leaders kept their secrets within themselves to retain power, unlike the present leaders share their secrets with others to make a difference in the lives of others. Additionally, the technology helped people connect with others quickly and share their knowledge with others openly and freely.

Here are some messages from it. Ask, believe, and receive. Don’t delay, don’t doubt. Understand the power of visualization. Life is meant to be abundant in all areas. You become what you think.  Use messages such as ‘thank you for healing’. Avoid repeating negative words and statements. Instead, use positive words and messages. Everything in the universe is energy. The power within you is greater than the power outside. Every human has unlimited potential. If all humans unlock their hidden potential and utilize it for the benefit of others, we can build a productive, prosperous, peaceful, and happy world.

Inner happiness is the fuel to your success. Remember that you were born to add value to the world. You are the creator of your own destiny.

You Have the Power to Heal

During the global lockdown, I watched the documentary HEAL on Netflix. I enjoyed it thoroughly as the theme aligns with my award-winning book ‘See the Light in You.’ https://www.amazon.com/See-Light-You-Spiritual-Mindfulness/dp/1949003132  It emphasizes mind over matter and explains the connection between mind and body. It unveils that you can heal illness and diseases with the power of your mind and visualization. There are various types of meditation such as self-reflection, self-questioning, mindfulness, and transcendence. Meditation helps relieve stress. Choose the right diet to heal your diseases.

Believe in the power of miracles. Prayer gives you energy. Visualization is a healing journey. Surround with positive people and healthy people who can elevate you mentally and emotionally. Appreciation and gratitude can cure illness and disease. Whether your life is beautiful or terrible it is in your mind. It implores you to emphasize inner energy and the environment to keep yourself free from illness and disease.


Conclusion

The Quick-fix model doesn't work. You must get into the root of the problem to find the solutions. Don’t ever give up. The human body is capable of miracles. Detox your environment. Have faith in God or medicine or body or have faith all the three to keep yourself healthy and happy. Every day meet someone who beat the odds as they provide you with their life stories. Follow these messages to lead a happy and healthy life.

How To Manage Generational Diversity In The Workplace?

There are often conflicts between various generations in the workplace due to generational gap. In this regard, we will discuss various generational cohorts and offer tools and techniques to build generational compatibility among various generations in the workplace to achieve productivity and performance.  

It is essential to apply different strokes to different generations. Several generational cohorts are working in organizations including baby boomers, GenX, GenY (millennials), and Gen Z. Gen Z is the recent entrants into the workplace. The Gen Y and Gen Z appreciate soft leadership, unlike older generations who prefer other leadership styles.


Strategies to Lead Generational Diversity

Generational diversity helps empathize with each generation and learn various aspects without any ego. It offers opportunities such as innovation and creativity exploring simple solutions to complex issues in the workplace. To lead generational diversity, let us look at the similarities, not differences. Let us treat different generations as different flowers in a bouquet that add beauty and spread fragrance. Let us change our perceptions about generations from conflicts to collaboration. Let us understand the aspirations and expectations of each generation and customize leadership strategies accordingly. Here are some strategies to lead generational diversity in the workplace. Avoid stereotyping each generation. View from a fresh perspective. Customize communication as per each generation. For instance, millennials prefer working remotely and communicating through texting whereas the older generations prefer working in the office and communicating through telephone. Build mixed teams of various generational cohorts to build chemistry among them. Encourage reverse mentoring where millennials mentor the older generations. Reverse mentoring is advisable especially in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Fourth Industrial Revolution. It helps the older generations learn and adapt to the latest technology. They also thank millennials for sharing their knowledge. Customize the method of giving feedback to each generation. Offer cross-generational coaching and mentoring.  Above all, break barriers and build bridges to lead generational diversity in the workplace.

Each generational cohort has a different mindset, skillset, and toolset. Leaders will be able to create a unique mindset, skillset, and toolset by bridging the gap between various generational cohorts.
