Narendra Modi’s Man vs Wild: Emphasize Ecology and Enhance Tourism―Share if You Care!

Presently I am authoring a book titled, Spiritual Tourism: Tourists First, Tour Operators Second, And Destinations Third. When I was looking for the content on promotion of tourism and adventure travel, India’s honorable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi’s inspiring epic adventure flashed in my mind. I viewed his Man vs Wild episode with Bear Grylls, a British adventurer, with great interest and included in my book.

Leadership Lessons from Narendra Modi

Narendra Modi maintained cool composure throughout his adventure travel. He demonstrated that adventure tourism is for brave-hearted, not fainthearted. There are several leadership lessons you can learn from him from this episode. Be courageous. Lead by example. Connect with common people. Inspire other leaders to lead from the front.

I was inspired by his humble origins and the struggles he underwent in his initial days. He never aspired to become the Prime Minister of India. His service and commitment to serve people and destiny made him India’s Prime Minister. He shared several unknown personal stories during his adventure travel. He unveiled that he had supported his father in the tea stall, sold tea in the railway platforms and left for the Himalayas in his younger days.

For Narendra Modi, leadership is all about service. He did not take a vacation for the last 18 years and it was the first time he took the vacation it was considered so. However, his epic adventure cannot be considered a vacation because it is another endeavor to send a message to the world about the importance of ecology. He took it as an opportunity to highlight India’s cultural richness and greatness by highlighting the principle of Sarve Jana Sukhino Bhavantu (let everyone be happy) and India’s core philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family).

Narendra Modi made an epic adventure in his lifetime with Bear Grylls. He led by example with courage and inspired everyone across in the world especially Indians and millennials to care for the environment and ensure ecology to pass on to their next generations. To conclude, let us emphasize ecology and enhance tourism.

How to Build Buzz and Market Your Books?―Share if You Care!

"Writing a book is an adventure. To begin with, it is a toy and an amusement. Then it becomes a mistress, then it becomes a master, then it becomes a tyrant. The last phase is that just as you are about to be reconciled to your servitude, you kill the monster and fling him to the public.” ―Winston Churchill

My publisher asked me to market my books aggressively to increase sales. I am not an expert in marketing but I am fairly an expert in writing about branding because branding is my passionate area. Most people are shy to market themselves for fear of being perceived wrongly. In this digital world, marketing is essential to stand out from others. In this post, I will draw a blueprint to build buzz and market your books aggressively.

A Blueprint to Market Your Books

Writing books is very challenging because it involves lots of creativity, effort, and persistence. You have to overcome innumerable challenges to publish your books. After publishing the books the authors must take initiative to market their books both online and offline. It is the responsibility of both publishers and authors to build buzz and market books to reach out to larger audiences. In this way, authors enjoy sharing their knowledge while publishers enjoy earning money. Here are some tips to market your books.
  • Identify the potential market for your book to target the right audience.
  • Create a website for the book.
  • Run a preorder campaign.
  • Prepare a free chapter and approach prestigious magazines and journals to feature an interview about the book.
  • Approach podcast and radio hosts to feature an interview.
  • Explore guest blogging to reach out to different channels.
  • Request the endorsers from your book to spread the word about the book on their social network.
  • Request your friends from social network especially LinkedIn who you helped in the past to spread a word about your book.
  • Get as many book reviews as possible.
  • Participate in live events.
  • Deliver presentations on your book to raise awareness. Gift your book as a complimentary copy to the participants in your training programs and workshops.
  • Shortlist the best chapters from the book and publish them in prestigious magazines with a published link of the book at the end to enable the readers to purchase the copies.
  • Send bulk mail to your connections to purchase the copy.
  • Create the right hashtags for your book.
  • Understand the usage of social media platforms and leverage them effectively.
  • Emphasize more on pull-marketing and less on push-marketing.
  • Collaborate with your publisher and participate in the book signing event.

Don't encourage paid reviews which are usually done by some authors with deep pockets. Some authors pump their money to become bestsellers globally. Ultimately it is the essence from the book matters. The readers are intelligent enough to assess the genuine authors. So, be authentic to achieve credibility.

Conclusion

Authors must appreciate the fact that they can survive only when the publishers survive. So, they must take initiative to promote and sell their books through different channels.

In this cut-throat competitive world, you must identify innovative tools and techniques to stand out from others. It is essential to market your books aggressively to achieve the desired outcomes. Hence, don’t hesitate to build buzz and market your books. Good luck!

So What? Move On. Life Is Great.―Share if You Care!

Many people waste their precious time thinking about their past unpleasant events and experiences especially their relationships. Most individuals are aware that the past cannot be changed and the future cannot be predicted.  Yet they make the mistake of brooding about the things that are beyond their control. Therefore, wisdom lies in living in the present. In this post, I offer tips to move on with your life to lead a peaceful and happy life.

Tips to Move on with Your Life

Life is all about moving on without any regrets. Appreciate the fact that life is all about making mistakes, learning lessons, and moving forward with valuable takeaways. There is nothing wrong with making mistakes, but what is wrong is brooding over the mistakes excessively. Here are some tips to let go of your unpleasant past. Forget the negative aspects. Focus on the positive aspects of your life. Surround with positive people. Create positive vibrations. Forgive the wrongdoers and forget the unpleasant events and experiences. Do one good thing every day. Make others feel important. Add value to others. Express your gratitude to God for gifting you this precious life.

I have encountered several challenges in life. I analyzed them, addressed them effectively and moved on with my life. It is essential to avoid carrying emotional baggage. Never think that you alone have challenges in life. It is a well-admitted fact that everyone has challenges in their life. Some have major challenges while some have minor challenges. Be thick-skinned. Face challenges head-on. Leave no room for regrets. Never blame external circumstances. Take responsibility and move on with your life. If you think that issues are beyond your control, learn to live with them. If you think that issues are under your control, address them and move on. Don’t give excessive importance to insignificant issues and individuals. Emphasize your creative pursuits to unlock your passion and excel in life.

Conclusion

Overcome your unpleasant past because life is not perfect. Remember that the funny thing about relationships is they run on expectations and realities. Expectations lead to disappointment and realities leave you in pain. Therefore, avoid expecting anything from others and learn to live with realities. To summarize, there are many ways you can overcome your unpleasant experiences and events. Concentrate your mind to serve others. Utilize your time productively. Join nonprofits. Serve others. Add value. Make a difference in the lives of others. Never compromise with your ideals. Don’t suffer silently. Lead your life with dignity and honor. Remember that you only live once. So, move on. Life is great.

Pros and Cons of TikTok―Share if You Care!

“If you are on social media, and you are not learning, not laughing, not being inspired or not networking, then you are using it wrong.” ―Germany Kent

The usage of TikTok app is growing globally with the participation of various generational cohorts especially the Generation Y and Generation Z. Some users leverage this app to make money while some use it to build their brands. In this post, I will discuss the pros and cons of TikTok app and how to use it effectively to acquire education, have entertainment, add value to the social media community and build your brand successfully.

TikTok is taking the digital world by storm, and branding and marketing experts are taking a serious note about it.

TikTok is basically for those people who are attention-seekers. It is an opportunity to showcase your skills, abilities, and talents. You can display your passion by uploading videos in your areas of interest. However, you must keep it as a healthy hobby. Fix some time regularly to avoid getting addicted to this app. In fact, a lot of time is wasted in preparing the videos. Once you become an expert, you will make the perfect videos. Don’t bombard with many videos at a time. Instead, prepare a social media blueprint and proceed methodically and systematically. Upload videos regularly to get noticed by others. Once you get noticed, you make money and build your brand. If you are noticed by celebrities, you may grab opportunities to convert your passion into profession. Some girls post videos with their beautiful images. If they are noticed by the film industry, they can grab opportunities to act. Ensure that your videos go viral with great content, right hashtags and at the right time. Use it basically for educating and entertaining others.  If you get any opportunities, it is a bonus for you.

Harness Social Media to Stand Out

Previously people used to emphasize the physical network to connect with celebrities to explore opportunities. With the advent of social media, it has become easier to reach the top without any physical connections. If your post is liked and appreciated on social media, opportunities will knock your doors. However, the challenge is to use the right platforms, right content, right hashtags and above all patience to stand out from others and excel. The entire process is easier said than done. All that you need is to have pluck and a little bit of luck to stand out from the crowd. Both time and timing count on social media.

Conclusion

“Being human in the digital world is about building a digital world for humans.” ―Andrew Keen

Ensure that you don’t get distracted from your core activities. Fix some time every day to enjoy yourself. You may use it during your free time. You may use it when you are upset or depressed to energize yourself. To summarize, don’t become addicted to this app. Don’t waste your precious time. Use it for education and entertainment. Use it to add value to others and build your brand effectively.
