Travel plan. I searched online and took input from my close connections who visited those places.
Travel style. Meticulously planned and well executed, with some deviations depending on the availability of time and resources. I never go by package tours. I plan and travel independently as I served in the Indian Air Force and have had a great experience of traveling for 44 years.
Food while traveling. I eat street food and explore local foods. I am cautious about avoiding foods to that are allergic.
Must-pack items. Lightweight clothes, a smartphone, and a notebook to journal my experiences to author a book. Also, I carry a book to read when I am in a hotel.
Travel lesson you have learned. Expect the unexpected. Be prepared for volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. Enjoy every moment of your journey to leave your footprints and carry your memories. Leave no room for regrets.
Travel gear. Talk to locals and strangers. Understand their customs and culture and respect them.
Travel goals. Amarnath yatra and Kailash Manasarovar Yatra. I would love to trek in Ladakh and the most famous mountains in the world.
Travel pet peeves. I often check my wallet and passport while traveling. I have the practice of keeping money in different bags and carrying the hard copies of my passport in multiple bags.
Best weekend getaway for a family holiday. Srinagar;
Solo travel. Trekking in Kedarnath
Holiday with friends. Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh
Next stop. Amarnath yatra and Kailash Manasarovar yatra.
