Property Dispute Resolution—Professor M.S. Rao, Ph.D.—The Father of “Soft Leadership” & International Leadership Guru

“Be leery of silence. It doesn't mean you won the argument. Often, people are just busy reloading their guns.” ―Shannon L. Alder

Disputes are common in families and friends. They are expected in their personal, professional, and social lives. What is expected is to demonstrate composure and maturity to think through coolly to search solutions for the disputes. In this regard, we will discuss resolving disputes privately in a dignified manner to leave a mark for others to follow.

Settle Disputes Privately

No matter how thin you slice it, there will always be two sides.” ―Spinoza

Parents must distribute wealth to their children before relationships go sour. It helps keep families intact to leave a better legacy. Some parents are indecisive resulting in litigations in children. So, observe the following tips to settle disputes privately. Understand the issue clearly. Set SMART goals. Be tough-minded but tender at heart. Be flexible to give away something to take something in return. Empathize with others. Listen to all sources but make your own decision based on your head, heart, gut, and intuition. Strive for a win-win outcome. After resolving the dispute avoid discussing it with others to enable the other person to live with dignity and honor.

A Take-Home Message

Sometimes you have to let others tell their story about you...even if most of it is fabricated. Your character will tell your side without any words spoken. Do your best to vibrate high even in the midst of a shit storm.” ―Sanjo Jendayi

Don’t get provoked by others. Emphasize ethics and etiquette to win your argument. Avoid hitting below the belt to enable your opponents to remember your principles and philosophies. Life is short. Why should we make it sour? Let us make it sweet by settling disputes privately through discussion and dialogue. Life is great.

Ultimately all kinds of fights end at forgiveness.” ―Amit Kalantri
