Philanthropy in the Time of Covid-19

COVID-19 has thrown several challenges to the humans threatening their very existence. People must rise to this challenge to offer their donations to help combat this pandemic. Several countries and eminent personalities have donated their wealth including Bill Gates to fight this pandemic. Those who don’t have money can invest their time by participating in nonprofits and making a difference.

India still a developing nation where poverty is high. There is a need to support the poor at this hour of crisis. The government alone cannot do everything. People must come forward to support the poor in whatever the means possible. The Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund) was created on 28 March 2020, following the COVID-19 pandemic in India. Several large business groups in India contributed to the relief fund including Tata Sons and Tata Trusts (₹1,500 crores) and Wipro and Azim Premji Foundation (₹1,125 crores). You can donate as much as you can to PM CARES Fund.

The coronavirus is one of the biggest challenges the humankind is facing currently. So, people must come forward to donate as much as they can to help the people who are suffering either directly or indirectly from this pandemic.
