How to Settle Property Disputes Privately? ― Share if You Care!

“Be leery of silence. It doesn't mean you won the argument. Often, people are just busy reloading their guns.” ―Shannon L. Alder

Disputes are common in families and friends. They are expected in personal, professional and social life. What is expected is to demonstrate composure and maturity to think through coolly to search solutions for the disputes. In this post, I discuss resolving disputes privately in a gracious manner to leave a mark for others to follow.

Settle Disputes Privately

Parents must distribute their wealth to children before relationships go sour. It helps keep families intact to leave a better legacy. Some parents are indecisive resulting in litigations and infighting in children. Observe the following tips to settle disputes privately. Understand the issue clearly. Set SMART goals. Be tough-minded but reasonable in terms and conditions. Be flexible to give away something to take something from the dispute. Empathize with others. Listen to all sources but make your own decision based on your head, heart, gut, and intuition. Strive for a win-win outcome. After resolving the dispute avoid discussing it with others to enable the other person to lead a happy and peaceful life.

Conclusion

Don’t get provoked by others. Use your ethics and etiquette to win your argument rather than to cut the corners. You will be remembered in history for your principles and philosophies. So, maintain impeccable integrity to resolve disputes privately. Life is short. Why should we make it sour? Let us make it sweet by settling disputes privately through discussion and dialogue. Life is great.
