“I suffer depression only in the sense that I am a writer. We don't have proper jobs to go to. We are on our own all day. Show me a writer who doesn't get depressed: who has a completely stable mood. They'd be a garage mechanic or something.” ―Mark Haddon

“Stop Coronavirus, Save Humans” ― Professor M.S. Rao, Ph.D.

The world is at the crossroads because of Coronavirus. COVID-19 is growing exponentially with 512,701 confirmed cases, 23,495 confirmed deaths across 202 countries, areas or territories globally. There are several myths about it. Rumors are spread on social media. The local leaders and governments talk many things with mediocre knowledge without any scientific evidence and research findings. The best thing is to visit the website of World Health Organization (WHO) to get the authentic and updated information and the things to do and not to do URL: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public

Although research is happening at breakneck speed it appears that there are no drugs that can kill the virus or vaccines that can protect against it soon. It is a big challenge for humans. The best way is to prevent it through social distancing. Here are some suggestions to counter it.
  1. Wash your hands frequently.
  2. Keep space between yourself and others.
  3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  4. Take adequate rest during work or between the shifts.
  5. Eat sufficient and healthy food.
  6. Engage in physical activities.
  7. Exercise at home.
  8. Follow the govt rules and adhere to rules.
  9. Be positive.

Help the needy. Donate as much as you can. If you don’t have money, become a volunteer and participate in nonprofits to make a difference. In my case, I share knowledge regularly on my blog Vision 2030: One Million Global Leaders URL: https://professormsraovision2030.blogspot.com. Everyone must contribute at this hour of crisis.

Media must play a responsible role to educate and enlighten people without resorting to hype. It must create hope, not hype on COVID-19.

Current scenario is like World War III. All humans must stand united to fight. If we take appropriate precautions we will survive as humanity otherwise the precious human lives will be lost and the global economy will hit adversely. It is time for us to rise to the occasion cutting across our ideologies and differences. Let us stand united to fight against this invisible enemy to save humans. God bless the world!

COVID-19: Narendra Modi is a Leader at all Times

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” ―Martin Luther King, Jr.

India’s Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi is an expert in converting threats into opportunities. A few weeks ago, there were protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). Some of the States in India have passed resolutions against their implementation. With the onslaught of COVID-19, things have changed and the attention has been diverted to combating Coronavirus. Modi proposed 14 hours Janata Curfew which drew the attention across India and elevated his image globally. He involved the people in the fight against COVID-19 and diverted their attention from various major issues including economy and unemployment.

On 14 February 2019, a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber at Lethpora in the Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir, India. The attack resulted in the deaths of 40 Central Reserve Police Force personnel and the attacker. The entire nation was shocked and saddened. He converted this threat into an opportunity by conducting surgical strikes in Pakistan and used the public sentiment to win the 2019 elections with a huge majority.

Modi has a list of great advisers who advise him on the right lines and he makes decisions as per the situation. Real leaders emerge during tough times, especially during the global crisis. Modi is a motivational leader and decisive leader who makes decisions fearlessly.  He is a leader at all times including war and peace, unlike Winston Churchill who was only a wartime hero.

Although COVID came out with several challenges it connected all Indians and united them into one platform emotionally. The Indian government announced a 21-day lockdown to stop the spread of coronavirus. Thanks to Modi for uniting all Indians into one platform and winning their hearts. Jai Hind!
