Indians and their Attitude | Vision 2030: One Million Global Leaders | A Silent Revolution

“Education is a lifelong process. It is a great amplifier and accelerator. It must help us learn to live sustainably. It must create curiosity and open the minds of students. It must ignite the minds of the students and help them convert information into knowledge.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

Indians are blessed with a great intellect. They work hard, smart and wise overseas. They bring laurels to India wherever they work. That is about overseas Indians. But Indians at home have a different attitude and mindset. They must improve their attitude and mindset. They should not stay away from risk. They must take initiative to fix the problems. They must be part of the solution, not the problem.

Right from childhood, parents teach their children to play safe with the people around them. Probably that has gone to their subconscious mind. Indians have been ruled by foreigners for many years. That made their mindset to accept the status quo. They often don’t challenge the status quo. They respect charismatic leaders. They worship leaders as heroes and heroines. They rarely try to become heroes or heroines. However, there is a shift in the mindset and attitude of Indians, especially in millennials and centennials.

Indians at the home must be channeled in the right direction. It requires visionary and inspiring leadership. It is essential to build the layers of leadership. It takes around 30 years to impact the world. It must start now and from every Indian. A journey of thousand miles starts with the first step. So, let us take the initiative to bring about the change. Let us groom the next generation especially the youth to impact the world positively. Let us be part of that silent revolution. I started 'Vision 2030: One Million Global Leaders' which is a nonprofit one to groom students as global leaders by 2030.

Impact people in the given situation within the available resources either in a small or big way. Impact them positively. You can impact whether you are employed or unemployed. Contribute your best within the given situation. Whosoever comes in touch with you, impact them positively to excel as a leader. Although I am unemployed I impact the people around me by identifying their strengths, encouraging and elevating them. This is leadership. Lead a silent revolution by impacting and inspiring the individuals around you. Touch the lives of the people around you. Don’t expect the government to do everything. It is the people who must come forward to bring the desired change in society.

Takeaway: There are different kinds of leaders including business leaders, political leaders, social leaders, spiritual leaders, military leaders, visionary leaders, and intellectual leaders. I implore them to inspire Indians, especially youth to contribute their best to build a better India. Jai Hind.

Be a Frontline Leader | Vision 2030: One Million Global Leaders | A Silent Revolution

“Nothing is greater than serving others with a great heart. We live in a world where there is a huge competition for takers and the least competition for givers. So, be a giver and serve your societies and communities to build a better world.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

Dream big to add value to society. Dream big to build a better society. Believe in yourself that you can achieve your dream. Lead from the front. Lead by example. Lead by ethics and etiquette. Think long-term, not short-term. Think for people, not profit. Think about the larger interests of the people and society.

When encountered with challenges frequently, avoid doubting your dream. Believe in yourself. Don't ask people to follow you. When you lead from the front, people rally behind you. You can achieve your dream and change the world.

During the coronavirus, the essential care workers led from the front. They were the real soldiers and warriors who led from the front and served the global society and helped contain the pandemic globally. When you look at leaders especially from the military they lead from the front. I served in the Indian military and learned about leadership closely.

I created Vision 2030: One Million Global Leaders which is a nonprofit one to train youth as global leaders URL: http://professormsraovision2030.blogspot.in/2014/12/professor-m-s-raos-vision-2030-one_31.html. I believe that it takes around 25 to 30 years to bring the change in society which is possible when youth are trained in that direction. It is a kind of silent revolution. I share my knowledge freely with the world to accomplish my dream to build one million students as global leaders.

Lead a silent revolution by impacting and inspiring the individuals around you. I impact the people around me by leading from the front. I touch the lives of the people around me. I am unemployed for almost six years with lots of financial challenges. Yet, I touch people and make a difference in their lives.  I identify gems in the people and enlighten them to explore those areas. They succeed and express their gratitude. I do my little bit. You can also contribute a little bit. Remember, too many drops become a mighty ocean.

Takeaway: Being a front-line leader means willing to take responsibility, understanding the entire situation analytically, changing the strategies from time to time to accomplish the desired goals and objectives. So, Be a frontline leader to build a better world.

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” ―John Quincy Adams

The Change Starts With YOU | See the Light in You

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” —Leo Tolstoy

When you want to change the world, you must change yourself first. You must change your perception of the world. You must change your attitude, personality, and behavior. You must change your mindset, skillset, and toolset. You must improve your attitude of gratitude. You must emphasize serving others with a great heart. You must have passion, compassion, and vision.

Rosa Parks refused to give her a seat in the bus when the driver asked her. Her refusal to give up her seat changed entire America with Martin Luther King Jr. starting the civil rights movement of equality of blacks with whites. The change started from her. Mahatma Gandhi was pushed out of the train when he was traveling in the first-class compartment in South Africa leading to the freedom struggle. Mother Teresa underwent several struggles and sufferings in her initial years in India. That changed her mind to serve leper in India. She redefined service. Nelson Mandela was jailed for almost 28 years who changed his strategy to fight against apartheid based on the Gandhian principles of non-violence. Buddha was deeply moved when he saw people crying over the dead body. That changed his mind and he founded Buddhism. All these leaders changed themselves to bring change to society. Therefore, change must start within you to change the outside world. Change is from the inside out.

Takeaway: Change is possible when people understand themselves through self-awareness and come out of their comfort zone. Change yourself to change the world.

Want To Be Happy? Be Grateful | See the Light in You

"You can learn a lot from suffering. Remember, in the ash of suffering a phoenix can be born." ―Professor M.S. Rao

People often look at the door that is closed. They don’t look at the door that is opened. They must be grateful for what they have. It is gratefulness that makes them happy, not the other way around.

Problems are tiny when compared with the prospects. Hence focus on positivity, not negativity. Have a positive, right, and strong attitude. It leads to gratitude culminates with fortitude. Don’t worry. Be happy. Emphasize need, not greed because there is no limit for human greed. Accept the fact that happiness lies within, not outside. Don’t search for stones by leaving gems at home.

Gratitude decreases your depression and increases your happiness. Be kind and compassionate. Be a giver, not a taker. Make a difference in the lives of others.

Connect the dots to create your destiny. Count your blessings, not brickbats. Thank God for making things happen. Everything happens for a reason. Remember that all that happens for good. Focus on the good, avoid the bad. Be grateful. Life is great.

Takeaway: Inculcate the attitude of gratitude. Practice gratitude every day.

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” —Oprah Winfrey

How to Become a Go-Getter? | Attitude, Personality, and Behavior| Soft Skills

“I rose from humble origins with a toxic family background. When I was 18 years old, I dropped out of college to support my parents and joined the Indian Air Force. I had to struggle hard to earn my livelihood. I sacrificed my personal time, invested a portion of my monthly salary and resources, and acquired several qualifications including DME, BSc, MA, MBA, PGDCLL, and PGDBM. I earned my Ph.D. in 2011. I understand the pain of life. I am a self-made man. I have come to know that there's no such thing as a free lunch.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

I have the habit of taking feedback at the end of every interview, teaching session, and training program. When I asked the host after the completion of the interview about the feedback, he informed me that I am a go-getter. I rarely used this term although I am aware of it. In this post, I will discuss the qualities of a go-getter and grow like a go-getter.

I rose from humble origins with toxic family background. I understand the pain of life as I underwent struggles, sufferings, and betrayals. I take life the way it comes but lead my life with purpose and meaning. I am straightforward and don't mind asking for help from others to get things done.

Go-getters explore opportunities. They are responsible for their life and attitude. They are independent thinkers. They keep moving forward despite setbacks and disappointments. They take initiative and responsibility. They don’t need prompting from others. They lead from the front. They are positive and proactive. They take advantage of opportunities. They are usually extroverts and a few are ambiverts. They face challenges head-on. They don't brood over the problems. They get into action to explore solutions. They are consistent in their contributions and persistent to achieve the desired outcomes. They understand what they can control and what they cannot control. They control within their limits. They keep moving forward irrespective of the outcome. They are unperturbed. They are rare breed achievers to hit the bull's eye. They are mindful and lead meaningful lives.

Here are some tips to grow as a go-getter. Be emotionally intelligent. Acquire soft skills to get along with people. Don't hesitate to talk with others. Don't worry about problems and failures. Keep moving forward. At the same time learn lessons from mistakes to become a successful go-getter.

Takeaway: You don’t get things on a platter. Don’t hesitate to become a go-getter. Keep going and getting things done. Be courageous. Be assertive. Be victorious.

The 4 AM Rule: Why Successful People Wake Up Early

“My daily rituals: I wake up at 4 AM and sleep at 10 PM. In the morning, I create knowledge. In the afternoon, I acquire knowledge. In the evening, I eliminate irrelevant information. In the night, I prepare for the next day.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

When you look at successful people and high achievers including Tim Cook and Oprah Winfrey, they wake up at 4 AM. They are early risers. There are several advantages associated with setting a daily morning routine. You start the day with energy and enthusiasm. You unlock your potential. You become creative and solve problems. You become positive and proactive. You are more focused and concentrate on your tasks effectively. You remain calm and clear-headed. You become productive because you are free from distractions. You leverage your brain’s functioning capacity and make decisions smartly. You overcome your weaknesses and leverage your strengths.

I served in the Indian Air Force. I cultivated the habit of waking up at 4 AM from the military. I undertake three tasks every day. I prioritize one main task to be executed that is urgent and important. I feed my subconscious mind in the previous day about the tasks to be executed the next day. I have the entire day under my control. I am very creative and explore new ideas. As an author, I write in the morning. I am highly focused. I am clear-headed. My mind is capable of deep and profound learning. I am awake and alert. I don't multitask. I avoid social media. My energy levels are at my peak. I remain calm and relaxed at this time. There will not be any distractions. I have a high positive attitude. I am confident without any anxiety.

Successful people minimize bad habits and maximize good habits. They have set a pattern of life. Precisely, here are some qualities of the high achievers and successful people who wake up at 4 AM―creativity, positive attitude, productivity, performance, time management, focus, concentration, positive energy, and enthusiasm.

Takeaway: The early risers have a more positive attitude than the night owls. Therefore, wake up at 4 AM to keep your day going with energy and enthusiasm. Remember that a disciplined morning leads to a disciplined day. So, be disciplined to wake up at 4 AM. A strong and consistent routine can support a successful life. To conclude, decide how and when you want to wake up.

Youth Is Wasted On The Young

“Overnight success is an exception, not a rule. Successful people planted seeds, watered the seeds, and saw the seeds growing into plants and trees. Therefore, make the right choices every day. Stay on your game. Keep going for your dreams.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

Young people are wasting their precious time, energy, and resources on pornography, gaming, and other pointless pursuits. Instead, they must focus on personality development and involve in community building to building better communities and societies. It gives them greater satisfaction in the later part of their lives apart from building their career.

Youth have tons of energy and enthusiasm. Unfortunately, they waste their precious time on trivial things and activities. When I try to share my knowledge with teenagers, some of them don't take me seriously. This is also my observation when I worked as a professor in educational institutions. So I emphasized improving their attitude, personality, and behavior as I earned my Ph.D. in soft skills. Some of them did not listen but realized later and regretted not listening to my advice.

Youth needs guidance, counseling. Hence, I started the non-profit Vision 2030 to train youth as global leaders http://professormsraovision2030.blogspot.com/2014/12/professor-m-s-raos-vision-2030-one_31.html

The youth are smart and brilliant. They are tech-savvy and must utilize their time judiciously. They have potential, energy, and enthusiasm. They must channel their energies in the right direction to excel in all spheres. Here are some tips for youth to lead their life mindfully. Read good books. Be a lifelong learner. Associate with positive people. Involve in physical interaction rather than in virtual interaction. Be creative. Pursue your hobbies. Leverage technology. Harness social media. Don’t compare with others. Compete with yourself to grow constantly. Make quality friends, not quantity. Don’t copy others. You were born to stand out from others.

Takeaway: My message for millennials and centennials is to use their time productively so that they don't have to regret in their old age for wasting their precious youth.
