Rise Like a Phoenix

"You can learn a lot from suffering. Remember, in the ash of suffering a phoenix can be born." ―Professor M.S. Rao

Iconic leaders including Abraham Lincoln, Beethoven, Michael Jordan, Charles Darwin, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Walt Disney, Colonel Sanders, Steven Spielberg, Richard Branson, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk bounced back from their failures. They rose like a phoenix and inspired others to dream and achieve big in life. People often think that iconic leaders achieved success by luck. They hardly understand the struggles these iconic leaders underwent. The fact is that iconic leaders encountered innumerable challenges before making it big finally. Luck is only a minor portion. The major portion is their hard work, wise work, and smart work.

Great leaders rose from several struggles and sufferings. They overcame several challenges. They were often written off by others. Critics thought that these great leaders were finished. But they bounced back. They proved their critics wrong. They rose from ashes like the phoenix.

You will come out of the troubles and rubbles. Fight back. Fight to the finish. Take your battle to your logical end. Prove your critics wrong. Prove your backstabbers wrong that you are not finished. You are down temporarily, not out permanently.

I was born into a toxic family. I was betrayed by my relatives but rescued by my friends. My rogue relatives thought that I was finished. The fact is that they don't know that I have acquired many qualifications including my Ph.D. and reinvented myself as a professor and author. Remember, you may be down. You will never be out. You will rise like a phoenix. You were born with a purpose. You were born to achieve big in your life.

Message

Life is never a straight line. Covert your scars into stars. Every fall has a rise. Rise like a phoenix. Life is great.

Make the Right Decision

“The good leaders do the best thing in the prevailing situation whereas the great leaders do the right thing in any situation irrespective of the effects and outcomes.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

Making decisions is crucial in life. The right decision at the right time gives expected outcomes.  Your head must rule your heart to make smarter and wiser decisions.

Leaders at the top think differently. They consult experts in the area, shortlist the best, and make the decision based on the prevailing situation. If it doesn't go well, they take feedback and modify their decision-making process. They do it until they get the right outcomes. Remember, all decisions won’t go right. At times the external forces and factors adversely impact the outcome. So, be prepared to modify your decision-making process accordingly.

Everyone makes decisions every day. At times, not making a decision is also a decision. Make your decisions by blending your head, heart, gut, and intuition.

Takeaway: Your decision determines your destiny. Make your decisions smartly and wisely.

Do You Follow Your Heart or Your Head? | Professor M.S. Rao

Health and Fitness – Exclusive Video | Professor M.S. Rao

Be Different, Don't Be Indifferent!

“Nothing is greater than serving others with a great heart. We live in a world where there is a huge competition for takers and the least competition for givers. So, be a giver and serve your societies and communities to build a better world.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

You must be unique and different. You must not be indifferent. That means you must be sensitive to others’ emotions and feelings. Be kind and compassionate.  This the only area where there is the least competition. Care for the people around. Add value to others. Serve people through nonprofit. Invest a portion of your time to serve others.

You are unique. You are different from others. Don’t compare with others. Comparing with others is the worst thing in life. God gifted you with unique abilities, talents, skills, and knowledge. Therefore, be different from others. Don’t be indifferent. Remember, it takes courage to be different and it takes courage to be yourself.

Takeaway: Be a trendsetter, not a trend follower. Be kind and compassionate to build a better world.

Be Different, Don't Be Indifferent! | Professor M.S. Rao

Why Are Some Self-Made Successful People So Stubborn?

“I rose from humble origins with a toxic family background. When I was 18 years old, I dropped out of college to support my family and joined the Indian Air Force. I had to struggle hard to earn my livelihood. I sacrificed my personal time, invested a portion of my monthly salary and resources, and acquired several qualifications including DME, BSc, MA, MBA, PGDCLL, and PGDBM. I earned my Ph.D. in 2011. I understand the pain of life. I am a self-made man. I have come to know that there's no such thing as a free lunch.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

Those who are self-made and achieve success through struggles and sacrifices are often found to be stubborn. At times, it becomes difficult for others to cope up with them. Being stubborn is a double-edged sword. It is good in a few ways and bad in many ways.

People who start from scratch without anybody’s support understand the ground realities. They have a solid foundation and understand the challenges and overcome them successfully.

You must be stubborn in your core principles and philosophies and be flexible to get along with others to lead your life mindfully.

Takeaway: Change yourself to change the world.

Take Care Of Your Health

"As long as you love and learn, you are young. The day you stop loving and learning, you become old. So, stay young forever by learning and loving others." ―Professor M.S. Rao

We live in a cutthroat competitive world. We must take care of our health. Lost wealth can be gained, not lost health. I personally care for my health. I am basically a fitness freak. Here are some tips to stay healthy and fit.

  • Thank God, the moment you wake up from your bed.
  • Drink water preferably hot water.
  • Take breakfast every day. Don’t skip it.
  • Exercise every day.
  • Eat the right food.
  • Work smart.
  • Ensure work-life integration.
  • Socialize with positive people.
  • Express your gratitude.
  • Sleep well.

Message: Health first, education second, and wealth third.

Career Advice: Work Your Ass Off | Professor M.S. Rao

Take Care Of Your Health – Exclusive Video | Professor M.S. Rao

No Such Thing As Overnight Success

“Be passionate, persistent, and patient. There is nothing like an overnight success. Work hard, wise, and smart to stand out from others. I failed many times in my life. I fail every day. But I don't have any regrets because I learn lessons and move on with valuable takeaways.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

When you look at Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Elton John, and Angelina Jolie, they pursued their passions and worked hard in their professions before becoming successful. Most people think that successful people are lucky. Of course, luck is a minor portion. The major portion was investing their efforts and energies in their chosen areas consistently for many years.

There is nothing like an overnight success. You cannot be successful overnight. You must work hard, smart, and wise to be successful. You must invest your efforts in your passionate area for many years. People are often disconnected from the realities because of technology and social media. They want instant success. The fact is that instant success may lead to instant disaster.

Overnight success is an exception, not a rule. Successful people planted seeds, watered the seeds, and saw the seeds growing into plants and trees. Therefore, make the right choices every day. Stay on your game. Keep going for your dreams.

Conclusion

“I start early and I stay late, day after day, year after year, it took me 17 years and 114 days to become an overnight success.” ―Lionel Messi

Instant success stories are bullshit. Success is a marathon, not a sprint. If you achieve success with a solid base, you can sustain your success. People often lose motivation when they don’t get immediate outcomes. The fact is that you must work your ass off to achieve success in your life. If success comes instantly, it goes away instantly. Achieve success in such a way that you sustain and grow steadily to add value to others. The world needs that special gift you only have. To conclude, slow and steady wins the race. Achieve success with integrity.

The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind | Inspiration | Professor M.S. Rao

Life Is Easy. Why Do We Make It So Hard?

Happy New Year 2021!

“Life is meant for learning, enjoying, and growing, not for litigating.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

Life is simple. Unfortunately, some people make it complicated. They enter into conflicts that are unwanted and uncalled. They invite challenges by interfering with others’ activities. They create problems for themselves and the people around them. Finally, they blame God for all the challenges. God is the greatest scapegoat for them.

I feel life was simple in my childhood. As I grew, I observe life is getting complicated. Technology has brought lots of comforts, but it has distanced the people physically. We must draw a line somewhere in the usage of technology to make life simple and straight. We have several challenges including anxiety and depression globally. Suicides are increasing. People have money, but they cannot enjoy their lives. They run behind something. They search for stones by leaving gems at home.

Conclusion

Be smart. Don't be over-smart. Use your intelligence intelligently to keep things simple and straight. Don't be a litigant. Don’t invite problems for yourself and the people around you. Don't give unsolicited advice. Advise only when asked. Lead your life with simplicity, humility, integrity, and generosity. Life is short. Make it sweet. Enjoy every moment of your life. Life is great!

“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.” ―Confucius
