When Will My Time Come?―Share if You Care!

Most people on the earth are optimistic about their good time especially when their time is bad. Life is full of peaks and valleys. Every rise has a fall and every fall has a rise. There is a sunrise after the sunset. Despite knowing this universal truth, most people worry excessively about their problems without exploring solutions. The good time arrives when you prepare consistently in your area of interest with passion and dedication.

When you work hard, smart and wise, your time will come. Your time will not come when you sit idle. Your time will come when you take action. Your time will come when you draw a strategy and adopt different tools and tactics effectively. Things happen at their own pace, not as per your expectations and aspirations. There is always a gap in time and timing between your expectations and realities. Fulton J. Sheen rightly remarked, “Patience is power. Patience is not an absence of action; rather it is "timing" it waits on the right time to act, for the right principles and in the right way.” Hence, be patient and prepare persistently to wait for your day. Remember, every dog has its day.

Plan Mindfully and Work Productively

“The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.” ―Leo Tolstoy, War and Peace.

No power on the earth can prevent the talent coming to the top. So, never wait for your time. Invest your present time productively and effectively to enable your good time to arrive early. When you pray to God your prayers will be heard. But your time will come when you come out of your comfort zone and take action. So, take action right now to enable your time to come early.

Professor M.S. Rao’s Message for Unsung Heroes and Heroines: Work for a Cause, not Applause― Share if You Care!

Most people on the earth die as unsung heroes and heroines. It is only a few people who are recognized for their contributions. Although most people work hard with passion and wait with patience to achieve recognition and success they fail miserably when they are alive. The reality is that the world respects successful people, not unsuccessful people. In this post, I outline the causes of unsung people.

Here are some reasons for such unsung people. They led a simple and humble life. They remained quiet and were shy to promote and brand themselves. They failed to hog the limelight. They failed to network and make a noise. They lacked tact and diplomacy. They acquired hard skills, not soft skills. They failed to seize opportunities. They worked for their causes, not applauses. They were givers, not takers. Above all, their preparations did not meet the opportunities.

Conclusion

"The womb from which you emerge determines your fate to an enormous degree for most of the seven billion people in the world." —Warren Buffett

Be happy that you have tried your best. Be happy that you have made a difference. Be happy that some of your friends have earned fame and enjoyed all the facilities. Remember, if everyone achieved success and fame these words would have lost relevance forever. To conclude, contribute your best irrespective of the outcome to avoid regrets on your deathbed.

Create a Gender Equal World: Professor M.S. Rao, Ph.D., #HeForShe―Share if You Care!

International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8, 2020. I advocate gender equality globally. I have signed up for #HeForShe. I salute all women for their courage and contribution to build a better world.

Globally the number of women scaling senior positions especially C-suite positions are very few. Although it is widely advocated to increase the number of women’s participation in senior positions, it remained in the letter, not in spirit. In this post, I will offer tools for women to fast-track their careers to achieve a gender-equal world.

Research shows that women take failures to their hearts and take a little longer time to move on from their failures. They are hard on themselves and love to be perfectionists. They fail to claim their achievements and make noise publicly especially on social media because of gender and cultural aspects. Additionally, they fail to leverage their networks and groups for fear of being misunderstood by others thus hindering their career prospects.

Strengths of Women

Women are usually collaborative while men are competitive by nature. Collaboration is essential for the smooth functioning of organizations and equally essential is a competitive spirit without which organizations cannot succeed. Blending both collaboration and competition is essential to achieve organizational excellence and effectiveness. Here are some of the strengths of women: Biologically women have a huge potential and are compassionate by nature. They empathize with others and are sensitive to others' feelings. They are good at soft skills and interpersonal skills. They can handle stress better than men. By nature, men are more aggressive. However, women are soft and well-behaved. Women are also good at hidden data of communication. That is why they know the knack of understanding male egos, emotions, and feelings better and act accordingly. Women are leaders at home. They lead their spouses and children effectively. They are more responsible for work.

When it comes to leadership both genders possess the same leadership skills and abilities. However, women leaders take issues seriously by being direct and decisive. They are more amicable and approachable. They are more committed, transparent, accountable and professional. Precisely, women leaders say what they mean and mean what they say.

Tools for Women to Fast-track their Career

Despite innumerable challenges, a few women leaders including Melinda Gates, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Angela Merkel, Ursula Burns, Meg Whitman, and Sheryl Sandberg broke the glass-ceiling and stood out from others globally. When it is possible for them, it is possible for other women also to excel in their areas. Here are some tools for women to fast-track their career. Women must leverage their knowledge, skills, abilities, networks, and groups to fast-track their career. They must build allies and alliances. They must choose their coaches and mentors carefully. They must help themselves. They must build their personal brand which is the cheapest, easiest and quickest way to make their presence felt because of the access to the internet and social media.

Create a Gender Equal World

There is a strong perception that men are promoted due to potential while women are promoted due to performance. It is basically because leadership is synonymous with men, not women. Hence, there must be a shift in the attitude and perception of the people toward leadership and women. Leadership is incomplete without the active participation of women leaders. Global Inc must spot, support and groom women leaders to keep them in the leadership pipeline to avert organizational eventuality.

Building women's movements globally to ensure women's empowerment helps to some extent. However, women supporting themselves helps greatly to ensure gender equality globally. Additionally, men must extend their hands to women wholeheartedly to build an honorable and prosperous world.

The world is at the crossroad currently. It is time men advocated gender equality globally. Remember that it is not a women’s issue anymore but a human rights issue. Hence, make your voice heard to achieve a gender-equal world.

Professor M.S. Rao’s Legacy Statement: Sharing Knowledge Freely with One Billion People Globally―Share if You Care!

I crafted a vision to build one million students as global leaders by 2030 URL: http://professormsraovision2030.blogspot.in/2014/12/professor-m-s-raos-vision-2030-one_31.html because I am passionate about students and leadership. I also have a vision to share knowledge freely with one billion people globally. Life is short and I must do something for global society before I depart this world. I have only knowledge, not material wealth. So, I have been sharing my knowledge freely with the world through my blogs and LinkedIn since 2007. I get immense pleasure through it although I don’t earn any money. I still do it despite financial constraints and without any regular flow of income for the last five years.

Although I am below average in intelligence I am blessed with curiosity and imagination. I used my imagination to create vision to share my knowledge. I have created the following vision statement:

My vision is to build one million students as global leaders.

My vision is to help students unleash their hidden potential.

My vision is to help students succeed in every area of their lives and to accomplish their dreams.

My vision is to help unsuccessful students become successful students.

My vision is to help successful students become even more successful students.

My vision is to inspire students to dream big and achieve big.

My vision is to share knowledge freely with one billion people globally.

My vision is to pioneer for global peace, prosperity, stability, and security.

People are born and dead but we remember only a few great leaders including Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr and Nelson Mandela for adding value to the society with their service. For them, to serve is to lead. Therefore, add value within your available resources to make a difference and build a better world.

“Activity Doesn’t Equal Achievement” ― Share if You Care!

Some people work hard but don’t achieve the desired outcomes. They work hard without taking feedback. They keep themselves busy throughout the day without any takeaways. It seems something is wrong somewhere. In this blog post, we will discuss working hard meaningfully which is otherwise known as working smart to accomplish your goals and objectives.

Learn when to Hold and Fold

“If the leader is filled with high ambition and if he pursues his aims with audacity and strength of will, he will reach them in spite of all obstacles.” —Karl Von Clausewitz

People must learn when to hold and fold in life. They must fix some timeframe or deadline to execute their tasks. If there is no positive outcome, they must exit by learning lessons and move on towards other tasks. There is no sense in chasing too many rabbits. There is no sense in swimming against the current. In my personal life, I did business for more than a decade. I could not achieve positive results. I gave up business and explored teaching. I enjoyed teaching students because I inspired and shaped them as global leaders. After a few years, I became a fulltime author when I lost my employment. I authored 48 books including the bestseller ‘See the Light in You.’ https://www.amazon.com/See-Light-You-Spiritual-Mindfulness/dp/1949003132 Unfortunately, I could not create adequate income to sustain from books. Now I am thinking to shift some other area where I can earn money to sustain my family.

Emphasize more on Achievements and less on Actions

Go to the cutting edge of your competency, which means a temporary loss of security. So whenever you don't quite know what you're doing, know you're growing.” ―Madeline Hunter

When we look at Nobel Laureates, they worked hard for several years to accomplish their goals. They emphasized on quality, not quantity. Most people who aspired for Nobel Prizes died as unsung heroes and heroines. So, we cannot conclude that focusing on one area gives us success. Life is a game and risk. Hence, we must take the risk and focus on one area religiously forever to achieve the desired outcomes. At the same time, we must understand the difference between busyness and productiveness.

People judge you based on your achievements, not actions. So, ensure that your actions lead to achievements occasionally, if not frequently to move forward in your life. To conclude, work smart, not hard to achieve big in your life.
