Be Yourself | See the Light in You | Mindfulness | Professor M.S. Rao
“See the
light in you. Your life is in your hands. Enjoy every moment by looking at the
positive aspects. Build a new foundation with the bricks thrown at you. Turn
your scars into stars. Life is great.” ―Professor M.S. Rao
People often
compare with successful people and get dejected and depressed when they fail to
achieve success in their lives. They assume that they are inferior to successful
people. They hardly understand the challenges the successful people encountered
to touch their tipping points. It is advisable not to compare with others
especially with successful people. We are different, our attitudes are
different, and our looks are different. The problem arises when we want to live
like somebody. Why do you want to become like somebody and insult God?
Progress takes
its own time. Progress happens at its own pace. Some people achieve success
early, some people achieve success in middle age, some people achieve success
in the old, and some people die as unsung heroes and heroines. Everything
happens for a reason.
How to Excel as an Extraordinary?
Everyone
wants to be extraordinary in the world. When you look at extraordinary
individuals including Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, and Richard Branson, they
never wanted to be someone. Then why do you want to be like someone? Don’t
search for stones by leaving gems at home. You are a hidden gem. Understand
this fact and lead your life meaningfully and mindfully.
Everyone is
gifted with a unique mindset, skillset, and toolset. Identify your gifts and
leverage them effectively to accomplish your goals and objectives. It is a
waste of your precious time, money, energy, and resources to imitate others and
explore their areas. Understand this fact to stand out from others to leave
your mark.
Learn from
others but don’t compare with them. Take successful people as inspiration but
don't compare with them. Remember, you are destined to achieve something
unique. Who wins at the end of the race matters not who leads at the beginning
or the middle of the race. So, keep doing your best without comparing yourself
with others. Compete with yourself.
Raise your bar. Follow your passion and go by the road less traveled to
achieve excellence and excel as an extraordinary. Invest your efforts,
energies, resources, and time productively and consistently. Set a goal, work hard regularly, and
contribute consistently to grow in your life. Enjoy every moment of your life
without losing focus on your destination.
Every dog
has its day. God gives opportunities for all. It is a matter of time. Therefore,
be prepared to rise to the occasion by converting your threats into
opportunities and brickbats into bouquets.
Be a Trailblazer
Be a
trendsetter, not a trend follower. You are a gift from God. You are unique in
this world. Follow the unique path. Lead your life mindfully and meaningfully. Life
is great.
“Don’t
compare your growth with others. When a sunflower blossoms, it just blossoms.
It doesn’t look around to see if the others have blossomed. It is very personal
and very individual. The lesson is not to judge, compete or compare and move
ahead.” ―Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

See the Light in You | Turn Your Wounds Into Wisdom | Professor M.S. Rao
“You rarely
get things on a platter. There's no such thing as a free lunch. Everything
comes at a cost. You must work hard, work smart, and work wisely to establish
yourself and achieve success. If anything comes easily, it goes away easily.
So, work hard to succeed in your life.” ―Professor M.S. Rao
Everyone has
a hidden story. Every successful person has an internal struggle that is unknown
to others. Everything comes at a price. The price is full of struggles,
sufferings, and sacrifices. Ordinary individuals are often carried away by
successful people that the latter had an easy, rosy, and lucky life. Luck has a
limited role to play to achieve success.
I have my
own story. I was born into a toxic family and grew up in a toxic environment.
My mother is a naysayer and complainer and my father was an alcoholic and
litigant. I came out of my toxic family after I joined the Indian Air Force
when I was 18 years old. It was a blessing in disguise.
Life is full
of challenges. It is full of highs and lows. You must be prepared to overcome
challenges with confidence and optimism. You interact with different types of
people. Some appreciate you while some insult you. You must take them in your
stride and move on with valuable takeaways. People ignore you when you fail in your
life. You must understand their true intentions and move forward. Your life is
in your hands.
Tips to Turn Your Scars into Stars
You
understand the value of pleasure only when you undergo pain. You understand the
value of friends when you have bitter experiences with foes. Let go of your
unpleasant past. Forgive and forget the unpleasant people. Thank them for
teaching your valuable lessons. Don’t carry emotional baggage. Here are some
tips to turn your scars into stars. Be positive. Replace your negative talk
with positive talk. Follow your passions. Lead your life mindfully and
meaningfully. Come out stronger from each challenge. Let bygones be bygones.
Live in the present. Do the things that excite you. Become a volunteer. Add value
to others. Make a difference in their lives.
Conclusion
Life is not
a cakewalk. Enjoy every moment by looking at the positive aspects. Build a new
foundation with the bricks thrown at you. Life is in your hands. See the light
in you. Turn your scars into stars. Life is great.
