Why are Farmers Protesting in India? | Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan | Soft Leadership
“The good
leaders do the best thing in the prevailing situation whereas the great leaders
do the right thing in any situation irrespective of the effects and outcomes.”
―Professor M.S. Rao
There is an ongoing
standoff between farmers and the government over the farm laws in India. Here
are some points raised: Convene a special Parliament session to repeal the farm
laws. Make MSP and state procurement of crops a legal right. Assure that the
conventional procurement system will remain.
Farmers are
soldiers. Take care of farmers. Address their concerns immediately. Don’t
politicize. Don’t suppress. Don’t divert the attention. Fix the problem
immediately and earnestly. It has gained international attention. The issue
must be above politics.
Indian
farmers are born in debt, live in debt, and die in debt. Several farmers commit
suicide due to debts in some States in India. This is the fate of farmers. A
few farmers are benefited due to growing urbanization and the construction of
new highways near their agricultural lands. Their lands have appreciated
exponentially due to the real estate boom. It is only an exception. The
majority of farmers are in problems and in pathetic conditions. India lives in
villages and farmers are the foundation for the Indian economy.
I am
concerned about farmers because I am an Indian. I am concerned about farmers because
I am a veteran. I am concerned about farmers because they are the real
soldiers.
Takeaway: Farmers are
the backbone of the Indian economy. The government must strengthen their back
to strengthen the Indian economy. Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan. Jai Hind.

“Keep Your Friends Close, Enemies Closer, And Frenemies The Closest.” ―Professor M.S. Rao
“Education
is a lifelong process. It is a great amplifier and accelerator. It must help us
learn to live sustainably. It must create curiosity and open the minds of students.
It must ignite the minds of the students and help them convert information into
knowledge.” ―Professor M.S. Rao
“Keep your
friends close and your enemies closer.” This quote is from multiple sources
including Sun Tzu, Machiavelli, and the Godfather movie. It indicates that you
can understand the motives and strategies of your enemies when you keep them
closer. It helps you counter their strategies and ensure your victory.
Having
people around you is essential. Having good friends is a great gift. As time
changes, the equations with friends change, priorities change, and interests
change. So, the relationships change. During this process, friends become
enemies and enemies become friends while some remain as frenemies. Life is all
about changing relationships. Relationships are dynamic.
Make
friendship with all. The right friends will make your life beautiful. They
guide and groom you as a leader while wrong friends teach you valuable lessons
in your life. Make friendships with all age groups to acquire various
perceptions about the world based on their experiences, expectations, and
aspirations. I interact with young people especially students and young people in the gym to
get ideas and insights from multiple sources.
You are all
aware of friends, and enemies. You must also be aware of frenemies who act like
friends but enemies in reality. It is tough to identify them. Even Julius
Caesar could not identify them. So, you can understand how challenging to
identify frenemies in your life. This world is full of various types of people.
You must be careful when you interact with frenemies.
In business
and politics, there are no permanent friends and enemies. There are only
permanent interests. When interests are hurt, the friends become enemies and
vice versa. Therefore, it is advisable not to share your strategic secrets and
not to get attached with others emotionally.
Takeaway: Keep your
friends close, enemies closer, and frenemies the closest to accomplish your
goals and objectives.
