“Keep Your Friends Close, Enemies Closer, And Frenemies The Closest.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

“Education is a lifelong process. It is a great amplifier and accelerator. It must help us learn to live sustainably. It must create curiosity and open the minds of students. It must ignite the minds of the students and help them convert information into knowledge.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

“Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” This quote is from multiple sources including Sun Tzu, Machiavelli, and the Godfather movie. It indicates that you can understand the motives and strategies of your enemies when you keep them closer. It helps you counter their strategies and ensure your victory.

Having people around you is essential. Having good friends is a great gift. As time changes, the equations with friends change, priorities change, and interests change. So, the relationships change. During this process, friends become enemies and enemies become friends while some remain as frenemies. Life is all about changing relationships. Relationships are dynamic.

Make friendship with all. The right friends will make your life beautiful. They guide and groom you as a leader while wrong friends teach you valuable lessons in your life. Make friendships with all age groups to acquire various perceptions about the world based on their experiences, expectations, and aspirations. I interact with young people especially students and young people in the gym to get ideas and insights from multiple sources.

You are all aware of friends, and enemies. You must also be aware of frenemies who act like friends but enemies in reality. It is tough to identify them. Even Julius Caesar could not identify them. So, you can understand how challenging to identify frenemies in your life. This world is full of various types of people. You must be careful when you interact with frenemies.

In business and politics, there are no permanent friends and enemies. There are only permanent interests. When interests are hurt, the friends become enemies and vice versa. Therefore, it is advisable not to share your strategic secrets and not to get attached with others emotionally.

Takeaway: Keep your friends close, enemies closer, and frenemies the closest to accomplish your goals and objectives.

Make An Impact | The Ripple Effect Is Real

“Nothing is greater than serving others with a great heart. We live in a world where there is a huge competition for takers and the least competition for givers. So, be a giver and serve your societies and communities to build a better world.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

In this post, I share with you how to impact the world positively. When you wake up from your bed, be grateful for what you have; and before you go the bed, express your gratitude. During the day, add value to others. Give a smile to a stranger. A smile is a small curve that sets everything alright. Encourage people around you. Appreciate and inspire one person every day. Make people around you feel important. People remember how you made them comfortable and special. Treat all people equally irrespective of their rank and position. Life is a gift from God.

Mother Teresa said, "I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the water to create many ripples." The ripple effect is also known as the domino effect and butterfly effect. It gives compound returns. Cast a stone. When you do good, you get good in compound returns. It is a ripple effect. Many unsung heroes and heroines are creating ripples globally. Although their efforts are unrecognized, they are happy with what they have done for their societies. They work for a cause, not applause. During the coronavirus, the essential care workers worked hard, saved the lives of the people and made a difference globally. They are the true soldiers and leaders who cast their stones across the water and created ripples globally. I salute them. Let us all contribute our best to create ripples globally to build a compassionate world.

Take up a noble idea. Create your vision. Lead by character. Lead by example. Lead from the front. Be in the front line. Communicate clearly. Keep people before the profit. Build your credibility. Contribute your best. Leave your leadership legacy.

The Ripple Effect Is Real

Each one has a unique journey in life. It is not what you achieve but how you impact and inspire the world matters at the end of the day. Don't try to impress people but to inspire people. The impression is short-term while the impact is long-term. Don't just live for today. Live beyond your lifetime. Try to influence, impact and inspire others to leave your legacy.

“The leader’s main job is to make themselves obsolete.” ―Lao Tzu

Indians and their Attitude | Vision 2030: One Million Global Leaders | A Silent Revolution

“Education is a lifelong process. It is a great amplifier and accelerator. It must help us learn to live sustainably. It must create curiosity and open the minds of students. It must ignite the minds of the students and help them convert information into knowledge.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

Indians are blessed with a great intellect. They work hard, smart and wise overseas. They bring laurels to India wherever they work. That is about overseas Indians. But Indians at home have a different attitude and mindset. They must improve their attitude and mindset. They should not stay away from risk. They must take initiative to fix the problems. They must be part of the solution, not the problem.

Right from childhood, parents teach their children to play safe with the people around them. Probably that has gone to their subconscious mind. Indians have been ruled by foreigners for many years. That made their mindset to accept the status quo. They often don’t challenge the status quo. They respect charismatic leaders. They worship leaders as heroes and heroines. They rarely try to become heroes or heroines. However, there is a shift in the mindset and attitude of Indians, especially in millennials and centennials.

Indians at the home must be channeled in the right direction. It requires visionary and inspiring leadership. It is essential to build the layers of leadership. It takes around 30 years to impact the world. It must start now and from every Indian. A journey of thousand miles starts with the first step. So, let us take the initiative to bring about the change. Let us groom the next generation especially the youth to impact the world positively. Let us be part of that silent revolution. I started 'Vision 2030: One Million Global Leaders' which is a nonprofit one to groom students as global leaders by 2030.

Impact people in the given situation within the available resources either in a small or big way. Impact them positively. You can impact whether you are employed or unemployed. Contribute your best within the given situation. Whosoever comes in touch with you, impact them positively to excel as a leader. Although I am unemployed I impact the people around me by identifying their strengths, encouraging and elevating them. This is leadership. Lead a silent revolution by impacting and inspiring the individuals around you. Touch the lives of the people around you. Don’t expect the government to do everything. It is the people who must come forward to bring the desired change in society.

Takeaway: There are different kinds of leaders including business leaders, political leaders, social leaders, spiritual leaders, military leaders, visionary leaders, and intellectual leaders. I implore them to inspire Indians, especially youth to contribute their best to build a better India. Jai Hind.
