How To Handle People Who Hurt You?
“The good
leaders do the best thing in the prevailing situation whereas the great leaders
do the right thing in any situation irrespective of the effects and outcomes.”
―Professor M.S. Rao
We are
living in an imperfect world. We cannot expect people to be perfect and
ethical. We must understand this reality and move accordingly. When you are
wrong, apologize and exit gracefully. We live in a materialistic world. We
compete with others to ensure our existence and survival. We make many mistakes
in life. We make mistakes either consciously or unconsciously. We must realize
our mistakes and apologize. It shows our maturity and wisdom. Additionally, we
will build a better world.
Self-centered
people hurt while others-centered people forgive others. When your expectations
are high, disappointments are high, and humiliations are high.
No person is
entirely good, and no person is entirely bad. Love is the only solution in this
world. Forgiveness is easier said than done. So, practice forgiving the people
who hurt you. Life is never a straight line. It is full of appreciation,
insults, and humiliations. You must take them in a balanced way. You must let
go of unpleasant events and experiences and move on in your life.
Tit for tat
is not the solution in this world. Forgive and forget the unpleasant events and
experiences in your life to lead your life with purpose and meaning. When you
forgive, you sleep peacefully and happily without any regrets. You maintain
good health.
Takeaway: Forgiveness
is not a weakness. It is a symbol of strength. So forgive and forget the people
who harmed you to lead your life mindfully. Don't carry bitterness in your
life. Remember, forgiveness is a virtue. Life is great.
