What Is Your Biggest Regret In Life?

“I rose from humble origins with a toxic family background. When I was 18 years old, I dropped out of college to support my parents and joined the Indian Air Force. I had to struggle hard to earn my livelihood. I sacrificed my personal time, invested a portion of my monthly salary and resources, and acquired several qualifications including DME, BSc, MA, MBA, PGDCLL, and PGDBM. I earned my Ph.D. in 2011. I understand the pain of life. I am a self-made man. I have come to know that there's no such thing as a free lunch.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

Most people have regrets in their lives. I also have regrets in my life. The biggest regret I have is that I did not have an inspiring teacher in my childhood to guide me. I rose from humble origins with toxic family background. Some of the teachers avoided me because of my toxic family background. I helped my father in the tea stall in my childhood. I joined the Indian Air Force in the lowest rank when I was 18 years old to support my parents and family financially. Indian Air Force gave me the greatest relief from my toxic family background and I built my credibility and visibility. I worked hard during my leisure time to acquire qualifications including DME, BSc, MA, PGDCLL, PGDBM, and MBA. I earned my Ph.D. in 2011 in soft skills. I have a passion for learning since my childhood.

Why I coach, mentor, and train others freely is that I did not have any inspiring teacher to guide me in my childhood.  I don’t want others to suffer due to a lack of guidance. So, I started vision 2030 to share my knowledge freely with the world. Don’t blame others. Find out solutions and explore opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others.

Takeaway: Take action. Every day is a clean slate. It is never too late to make it happen.

How to Promote Humanity?

“Nothing is greater than serving others with a great heart. We live in a world where there is a huge competition for takers and the least competition for givers. So, be a giver and serve your societies and communities to build a better world.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

Coronavirus has thrown the world out of gear. The boon in disguise is that it has brought all humans into one platform. The virus has attacked humans irrespective of their race, rank, and status. People have become grounded. It was a tumble that made humans humble. In a nutshell, it emphasized humanity, humility, and hope.

People love each other but their differences keep them away. The world is highly complicated. We need leaders like Mother Teresa to promote humanity and fraternity. Here is how you can promote fraternity and humanity. Find out ways and means to promote humanity. I care for the stray dogs in my colony. Be kind to animals and living species. Be kind to everyone. Help the needy. Invest your time in nonprofits. Become a volunteer. Have faith in humanity. Together we will build a better world. Remember, what unites is bigger than what divides us.

Takeaway: Look at the similarities, not differences. Nothing is greater than serving humanity.

How to Structure Your Day?

“You must work your ass off to achieve success in your life. If success comes instantly, it goes away instantly. Achieve success in such a way that you sustain and grow steadily to add value to others. The world needs that special gift you only have.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

I plan one day before about the tasks that I do the next day. It makes me prepare mentally to execute the tasks effectively. I feed my subconscious mind with commands about the tasks to be done the next day. Here are some tips to structure your day. Prepare a to-do list. Plan well. Have a strategy, and execute it effectively. Prioritize the list. Do the task that is urgent and important. Then do the task is important, not urgent. Then do the task that is neither important nor urgent but you have to do it.  Avoid multitasking. Take one task, execute it effectively, and go to the next task. Anticipate external challenges.

Following these tips help you avoid stress and burnout. They increase your productivity and performance. The futuristic entrepreneur, Elon Musk is a workaholic. He utilizes his time effectively. He is an admirer of Benjamin Franklin.

Conclusion

Good habits are hard to form while bad habits are easy to form. Replace your bad habits with good habits. Use your time productively. You must have a great deal of self-discipline and commitment to succeed in your life.

Importance of Quality Over Quantity

“The good leaders do the best thing in the prevailing situation whereas the great leaders do the right thing in any situation irrespective of the effects and outcomes.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

Recently one of my friends from the USA removed unwanted connections from her social media platforms. She informed me that she emphasized quality over quantity. I appreciated her decision.

Have a few friends but great friends. I preferred books to friends in my childhood. After I joined the Indian Air Force when I was 18 years old, I have a couple of friends who are reliable and dependable. I enjoyed their company. I am still in contact with them.

How well you live matters, not how long you live matters. Leaders like Alexander the Great and Adi Shankaracharya lived for a short period. Abraham Lincoln once remarked, “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count, It’s the life in your years.”

Emphasize excellence, not perfection. Activity is not an achievement. Execute your tasks with excellence. Avoid multitasking. Undertake one task, execute it effectively, and then move on to your next task.

Takeaway: Emphasize quality over quantity. Quality of life matters, not the quantity of life.
