How Leadership and Coaching will Change in the Future?

"I realized that life had much more to offer than I had anticipated and decided to help others in their human journey. Thus, I become a trainer and a coach with a passion for transformation." —Ann Betz

The future of leadership and coaching will definitely improve with an increased emphasis on technology. There will be online courses and virtual activities. There will be an increased emphasis on experiential learning with innovative thinking and agility. It will be filled with disruptions and distractions due to volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.

The future of coaching and leadership is very promising for passionate coaches and trainers. There will be rapid changes in the technologies due to AI (Artificial Intelligence) and FIR (Fourth Industrial Revolution). The executive coaches and leadership trainers must adapt to technology and learn continuously to stay ahead of the game. They must embrace uncertainty and coach and train leaders at all levels by offering innovative and simple solutions to complex problems. Conventionally, the experienced and older generations share their knowledge with the younger generation. In the future hi-tech world, the younger generation will share their knowledge with others. That means millennials will share their knowledge with older generations, unlike the past where only the older generations shared their knowledge with the younger generation.

Conclusion

“Coaches and the people they coach know that for the future to be different, we need to change the way we do things in the present… More often, changes involve shifts in attitudes, thinking, perceptions, & behavior.” —Gary Collins

To summarize, the future of leadership and coaching depends on how the executive and leadership coaches will think, guide, and help leaders and senior executives resolve complicated challenges by providing simple innovative solutions.

"Everyone needs a coach, whether it's a top-level executive, a graduate student, a homemaker, a homeless person, or the President of the United States." —Anthony Robbins

Mental Illness is a Grave Threat to Humankind

“What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.” —Glenn Close

Mental illness is a grave threat to humankind. There are increased cases of mental illness resulting in suicides globally. In this post, we will discuss mental illness and how to address it effectively.

The Bollywood film industry is shedding crocodile tears over the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput. He was driven to suicide due to politics in the film industry. His career dipped due to inner politics in the film industry. He was left with no option but to commit suicide. But suicide is not the solution to several challenges in society. People must fight back to establish and prove themselves.

Tips to Overcome Mental Illness

Here are some tips to overcome your mental health issues. Don’t feel shy to open up yourself. Talk to your reliable friends to share your inner emotions and feelings. Eat well and exercise regularly to build your energy levels. Do meditation or yoga. Read good books. Surround with positive and healthy people. Listen to soft music. Travel to unwind. Have sex regularly. Look at the door that is opened. Have an attitude of gratitude. Express your gratitude to God everyday morning for gifting one more day to live and add value to others. Consult the doctor if you feel that you are unable to control the symptoms. Don’t treat it as a sigma. Remember that one in four in the world has mental health issues.

Mental illness is worse than coronavirus as it kills people silently and regularly. Remember that life is short and cutting it shorter by committing suicide is deplorable.

Tips to Deliver Your Commencement/Graduation Speech Successfully

"Of all the talents bestowed upon men, none is so precious as the gift of oratory. He who enjoys it wields a power more durable than that of a great king. He is an independent force in the world. Abandoned by his party, betrayed by his friends, stripped of his offices, whoever can command this power is still formidable." ― Winston Churchill

I was not blessed to study in standard educational institutions and I was not blessed to teach in standard educational institutions. Yet, I achieved success in my life because of my self-education, learning, and bitter experiences.

I was invited to deliver a convocation address in 2020. Here is how you can proceed with your commencement or graduation speech. When you want to deliver an inspiring commencement speech, research about the audience thoroughly, brainstorm several ideas, shortlist the best one, prepare a unique content and rehearse several times to build your confidence, connect with your audience effectively and ensure takeaways successfully.

Here are some tips to deliver your speech successfully. Keep your speech between 10 to 15 minutes. Focus maximum on three ideas and share with anecdotes, examples, and illustrations. Avoid using famous quotes. When you are invited as a speaker, you are special and your messages should become quotes for others. Avoid sharing conventional content. Instead, share unconventional and unique content to make your speech memorable and everlasting. Speak in simple sentences and make inspiring statements. Share them slowly to enable your audiences to digest the essences easily. Use your body language positively. Use your sense of humor appropriately. Share inspiring and emotional stories successfully. Remember, your speech must come from your heart, not head.

Good luck!

Toxic Family and Toxic Environment: My Life has been Painful. Life is Great

"I stopped pretending to myself that I was anything other than what I was, and began to direct all my energy into finishing the only work that mattered to me. Had I really succeeded at anything else, I might never have found the determination to succeed in the one arena I believed I truly belonged." —J. K. Rowling

I was born in a toxic family and grew in a toxic environment. My childhood was painful with suffering and struggles. I was passionate about reading and acquiring qualifications but I was a dyslexic with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). I was a below-average student. I did not enjoy convent education. I used to go to substandard schools and assisted my father after school time in his tea stall—sometimes collecting cash, sometimes making tea, and sometimes cleaning dishes left by the customers. So, I could not enjoy my childhood with my passions and sports. God was kind to me and showed me the path to join the Indian Air Force (IAF) when I was 19 years old. That was the place I started to grow as a positive and healthy individual eating well, exercising well, studying well, and receiving a little payment every month. When I joined IAF I was not even a graduate. But I continued my education and acquired several qualifications by working hard in service and sacrificing my leisure time and holidays to pursue education through correspondence courses. I earned, my DME, BSc, MA, PGDCLL, PGDBM, and MBA while serving in the Indian Air Force, and finally earned my Ph.D. in 2011. I did a business that did not workout ended up with financial challenges. My wife, two sons and I have been undergoing financial challenges for the last 13 years. We lived in a single bedroom flat and slept on the floor without cot. My life has been painful. I was cheated by my siblings and rogue relatives. But God has been kind to me by holding my hands and showing me the right path to share my knowledge freely with the world and serve others. Life is great.

“Let there be a time in our lives to hear the singing of angels throwing your life into a new and creative relatedness. Despite the grit, harsh discords of life, we are lifted and saved, again and again by the times we hear around us the singing of angels.” —Kare Anderson
