“Stop Coronavirus, Save Humans” ― Professor M.S. Rao, Ph.D.
The
world is at the crossroads because of Coronavirus. COVID-19 is growing
exponentially with 512,701 confirmed cases, 23,495 confirmed deaths across 202
countries, areas or territories globally. There are several myths about it.
Rumors are spread on social media. The local leaders and governments talk many
things with mediocre knowledge without any scientific evidence and research
findings. The best thing is to visit the website of World Health Organization
(WHO) to get the authentic and updated information and the things to do and not
to do URL: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public
Although
research is happening at breakneck speed it appears that there are no drugs
that can kill the virus or vaccines that can protect against it soon. It is a
big challenge for humans. The best way is to prevent it through social
distancing. Here are some suggestions to counter it.
- Wash your hands frequently.
- Keep space between yourself and others.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Take adequate rest during work or between the shifts.
- Eat sufficient and healthy food.
- Engage in physical activities.
- Exercise at home.
- Follow the govt rules and adhere to rules.
- Be positive.
Help
the needy. Donate as much as you can. If you don’t have money, become a
volunteer and participate in nonprofits to make a difference. In my case, I
share knowledge regularly on my blog Vision 2030: One Million Global Leaders URL: https://professormsraovision2030.blogspot.com. Everyone
must contribute at this hour of crisis.
Media
must play a responsible role to educate and enlighten people without resorting
to hype. It must create hope, not hype on COVID-19.
Current
scenario is like World War III. All humans must stand united to fight. If we
take appropriate precautions we will survive as humanity otherwise the precious
human lives will be lost and the global economy will hit adversely. It is time
for us to rise to the occasion cutting across our ideologies and differences.
Let us stand united to fight against this invisible enemy to save humans. God
bless the world!

COVID-19: Narendra Modi is a Leader at all Times
“The ultimate measure of a
man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he
stands at times of challenge and controversy.” ―Martin Luther King, Jr.
India’s Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra
Modi is an expert in converting threats into opportunities. A few weeks ago,
there were protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National
Register of Citizens (NRC). Some of the States in India have passed resolutions
against their implementation. With the onslaught of COVID-19, things have changed
and the attention has been diverted to combating Coronavirus. Modi proposed 14
hours Janata Curfew which drew the attention across India and elevated his
image globally. He involved the people in the fight against COVID-19 and
diverted their attention from various major issues including economy and
unemployment.
On 14 February 2019, a convoy
of vehicles carrying security personnel on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway
was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber at Lethpora in the Pulwama
district, Jammu and Kashmir, India. The attack resulted in the deaths of 40
Central Reserve Police Force personnel and the attacker. The entire nation was shocked
and saddened. He converted this threat into an opportunity by conducting
surgical strikes in Pakistan and used the public sentiment to win the 2019 elections
with a huge majority.
Modi has a list of great
advisers who advise him on the right lines and he makes decisions as per the
situation. Real leaders emerge during tough times, especially during the global
crisis. Modi is a motivational leader and decisive leader who makes decisions
fearlessly. He is a leader at all times
including war and peace, unlike Winston Churchill who was only a wartime hero.
Although COVID came out with
several challenges it connected all Indians and united them into one platform
emotionally. The Indian government announced a 21-day lockdown to stop the
spread of coronavirus. Thanks to Modi for uniting all Indians into one platform
and winning their hearts. Jai Hind!
“When the going gets tough,
the tough get going.” —Joseph P. Kennedy

“Some believe there is
nothing one man or one woman can do against the enormous array of the world's
ills - against misery, against ignorance, or injustice and violence. Yet many
of the world's great movements, of thought and action, have flowed from the
work of a single man. A young monk began the Protestant reformation, a young
general extended an empire from Macedonia to the borders of the earth, and a
young woman reclaimed the territory of France. It was a young Italian explorer
who discovered the New World, and 32 year old Thomas Jefferson who proclaimed
that all men are created equal. ‘Give me a place to stand,’ said Archimedes,
‘and I will move the world.’ These men moved the world, and so can we all.” —
Robert F. Kennedy

Coronavirus and Janata Curfew
“Janata curfew [People’s
curfew] will end at 9 pm but it doesn't mean we should start celebrating. It's
the beginning of a long battle. People shouldn’t come out of houses in states
which have announced a lockdown. In the rest of the states, if it isn’t very
important, don’t come out of your houses.” —Narendra Modi
There was an overwhelming
response to 14-hour ‘Janata Curfew’ (Self-Quarantine or Voluntary Lockdown) across
India on March 22, 2020, announced by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
It connected Indians emotionally and brought them into one platform to counter
COVID-19. Here are the merits of Janata Curfew. It brought awareness among the
Indians about coronavirus. It connected all Indians and united them emotionally.
It converted Indian citizens into soldiers. It enhanced the image of Narendra Modi
in India and abroad that he is committed to combating this global pandemic. It
elevated the image of India globally when Indians stood in groups to clap and
clang utensils at the end of the day thanking all the medical fraternity and
health workers, who have been working day in and out at hospitals and public
places like airports.
Real leaders emerge during
tough times, especially during the global crisis. Modi is a motivational
leader. He is a leader at all times including war and peace, unlike Winston
Churchill who was only a wartime hero.
Some of the developed nations
found it challenging to counter it despite being equipped with advanced
healthcare facilities. For a nation like India, it is more challenging with a
lack of infrastructure and adequate healthcare facilities. However, we can
still fight this disease with our will power and determination.
Since India has a youth
population of more than 50 percent, there is less likely that this virus will
attack us. Additionally, Indian climatic conditions are immune to this virus to
some extent. There is a silver lining on the dark cloud of COVID-19 because
China is gradually recovering from it. Therefore, nothing to panic but be
cautious to counter it. Avoid spreading fake news on social media. Educate and
enlighten people with authentic and inspiring information regularly. To
summarize, let us not neglect it. Let us not be overconfident. Let us stand
united to fight against COVID-19.
“India has a tremendous
capacity to deal the coronavirus outbreak situation as it has experience of
eradicating two pandemics, namely small-pox and polio.” —Michael J Ryan, The
executive director of the World Health Organisation
