Words of Wisdom―Professor M.S. Rao, Ph.D.

Here are my suggestions in turbulent times especially in Covid-19. Take care of your health. Protect your employment. Don’t spend money unnecessarily. Never invest in one area especially in shares. Don’t get influenced by others especially in investments. Diversify your investments into real estate, gold, savings, equities, and insurance to minimize risk. Update your knowledge, skills, and abilities to stay relevant and competent globally.

The World is United to Fight Against Coronavirus―Share if You Care!

“The three golden rules of COVID-19: 1) Isolate. 2) Isolate. 3) Isolate.” ―Steven Magee

Covid-19 hit the headlines globally. It was an outbreak first, epidemic second and is pandemic now. The silver lining over the dark cloud is that it has united all humans across the world irrespective of communities, nations, and geographies. There is more emphasis on humanity than ever before. Kudos to Coronavirus!

Currently, there is no vaccine or drug for Covid-19. It is expected that medical professionals will soon find a vaccine or drug. If you are sick, avoid contact with others. If you have symptoms of common cold or flu, meet your doctor for medication. If you have Covid-19, wear a facemask to prevent spreading the virus to others. Follow the government guidelines strictly. Don't take it easy. The best way is to isolate yourself from others.

Coronavirus is a challenge for humans. It appears like an alien attacking the earth with vengeance. You can easily fight against a visible enemy, but it is difficult to fight against an invisible enemy. All humans must be prepared to fight against this invisible enemy. The fear of Covid-19 is worse than the real Covid-19. So, let us overcome the fear by equipping with authentic information and acting responsibly to combat this pandemic.

Covid-19―A Global Leadership Challenge

Leadership is about having both short-term and long-term strategies. Currently, there is a need to have a short-term strategy to check this pandemic to avoid further deaths. The long-term strategy is to prepare plans ready to combat these kinds of pandemics in the future. World War I and World War II were confined to specific nations. However, Covid-19 appears like World War III and it has spread across the world. India has extended its help to China at this hour of crisis despite having several long-pending border issues.

Let us wage a World War III medically to protect entire humankind. Medical professionals must quickly invent a vaccine to check this virus. Humans are blessed with creativity and are capable of exploring solutions for the problems. I am optimistic that medical researchers and practitioners collaborate to combat this invisible enemy.

World Health Organization (WHO) is playing a crucial role to check this pandemic by informing and enlightening people across the world. We must rise to this challenge and help as much as we can to alleviate human suffering. We must empathize with others. We must donate as much as we can. Those who don’t have money, they must invest their precious time by participating in nonprofits to add value to the global society.

What Would I Do If Today Was My Last Day?―Professor M.S. Rao, Ph.D.

“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.” ―Khalil Gibran

What would I do if today was my last day on earth? Very simple. I accept the reality of life. I express my gratitude to God for gifting me with a great life inundated with innumerable challenges with more failures and less successes. I spend my day with my wife and I thank her for her unconditional love and support especially during my failures. I phone and thank my best friends who helped me overcome challenges that arose due to my rogue relatives. I thank my siblings for cheating me and teaching me valuable lessons in life. I thank my students for their love and affection. I share a post on my blogs and social media platforms with my students, fans and followers globally with a message ‘Goodbye’ with gratitude.

With Gratitude!

"I slept and I dreamed that life is all joy. I woke and I saw that life is all service. I served and saw that service is a joy." —Khalil Gibran

I thank God for the opportunity to lead my life mindfully and meaningfully in diversified areas including military, business, teaching, training, research, consultancy and philanthropy. I express my gratitude to God for blessing me with many roles in my life as a soldier, entrepreneur, educator, editor, author, adventurer, explorer, philanthropist, and spiritualist. What a great opportunity for me to lead many lives in one life! I am grateful to God! With gratitude!

“I often wonder what I will be remembered in history for. Scholar? Military hero? Builder?” ―Ferdinand Marcos

How to Settle Property Disputes Privately? ― Share if You Care!

“Be leery of silence. It doesn't mean you won the argument. Often, people are just busy reloading their guns.” ―Shannon L. Alder

Disputes are common in families and friends. They are expected in personal, professional and social life. What is expected is to demonstrate composure and maturity to think through coolly to search solutions for the disputes. In this post, I discuss resolving disputes privately in a gracious manner to leave a mark for others to follow.

Settle Disputes Privately

Parents must distribute their wealth to children before relationships go sour. It helps keep families intact to leave a better legacy. Some parents are indecisive resulting in litigations and infighting in children. Observe the following tips to settle disputes privately. Understand the issue clearly. Set SMART goals. Be tough-minded but reasonable in terms and conditions. Be flexible to give away something to take something from the dispute. Empathize with others. Listen to all sources but make your own decision based on your head, heart, gut, and intuition. Strive for a win-win outcome. After resolving the dispute avoid discussing it with others to enable the other person to lead a happy and peaceful life.

Conclusion

Don’t get provoked by others. Use your ethics and etiquette to win your argument rather than to cut the corners. You will be remembered in history for your principles and philosophies. So, maintain impeccable integrity to resolve disputes privately. Life is short. Why should we make it sour? Let us make it sweet by settling disputes privately through discussion and dialogue. Life is great.
