Myths And Truths About COVID-19
"COVID-19
pandemic is a tumble that has made humans humble emphasizing humility, humanity,
and hope.” ―Professor M.S. Rao
In this
post, I share with you the myths and truths about coronavirus and steps to be
taken if you are tested positive with coronavirus infection. Here are some
myths and truths about COVID-19
Myth: Coronavirus
affects older people.
Truth: The
virus affects irrespective of age.
Myth: Taking
antibiotics to prevent coronavirus.
Truth:
Antibiotics don’t work against coronavirus.
Myth:
Drinking alcohol prevents coronavirus.
Truth:
Alcohol doesn't kill the virus.
If you have
difficulty in breathing and persistent pain or pressure in the chest, you must
consult your doctor immediately. If you are tested positive for coronavirus,
there is nothing to panic about. Take appropriate precautions. Maintain social
distancing. Go for quarantine. Avoid close contact with the person who tested
positive. Stay in a separate room. Wash your hands frequently. Use sanitizer
frequently. Clean surface areas regularly. Stay positive. Be confident. Be
mindful. Do breathing exercises. Understand the power of your subconscious
mind. Give positive commands before you go to bed that you are coming out of
the virus. Research shows that when you give commands to your subconscious mind
30 minutes before going to your bed, it will have an 18 percent positive
impact. Therefore, give positive commands as follows before you go to the bed:
I am becoming healthier and happier. I am bouncing back from the virus.
This too shall pass!
Eat
sufficient and healthy food. Engage in physical activities. Exercise at home.
If you have symptoms of common cold or flu, meet your doctor for medication.
Focus on creative activities.
We, humans,
are blessed with the power of imagination and creativity. We have overcome
several challenges and we will overcome this pandemic. To conclude, this too
shall pass!
“COVID-19
pandemic doesn’t discriminate humans based on community or economic status. It
can infect anybody irrespective of community and status.” ―Professor M.S. Rao

How Can You Improve Health and Energy Levels?
“The early
risers have a more positive attitude than the night owls. A disciplined morning
routine leads to a disciplined day. Therefore, wake up at 4 AM to keep your day
going with energy and enthusiasm. A strong and consistent morning routine can
support a successful and meaningful life.” ―Professor M.S. Rao
People often
ask me how I always maintain my high energy levels. Many students and the
people in the gym also asked me this question. Here is how I maintain high
energy levels.
During my
childhood, I was short in height and lean built with an asthma problem. At the
age of 15, I started going to the gym with a dream to serve my nation. After I
joined the Indian Air Force when I was 18 years old, I underwent rigorous
training. I acquired physical fitness and improved my stamina. I have become a
fitness freak.
I go to the
gym every day and do workouts for an hour. I go to the gym and return from the
gym by walk which takes an hour. I am often surrounded by books because I am an
avid reader. I also write a lot and authored over 50 books in my life. It takes
most of my time concentrating on my creative pursuits. I avoid negative people
and create a positive circle of friends and that gives positive vibrations. Therefore,
my habits, practices, and principles have improved my positive outlook on life.
Tips to Maintain High Energy Levels
I have the vision to build one million students as global leaders by 2030 that energizes me. When I worked in educational institutions, I enjoyed interacting with students who lifted my energy levels. I write a lot that serves as therapy. I write a gratitude journal every day. I wake up by expressing my gratitude to God for gifting this beautiful life. Before I go to the bed I express my gratitude to God for making the day peaceful, pleasant, productive, and exciting. Here are some tips to maintain high energy levels. Avoid toxic people and problematic people who drain your energy. Avoid excessive alcohol. Drink moderately. Follow self-care and take nutritious food. Avoid junk food and binge eating. Avoid skipping your breakfast. Drink adequate water. Avoid smoking. Take plenty of sleep. Maintain sleep of 6-8 hours a day.
Follow these
tips to maintain high energy levels to inspire others and make a difference. As
long as you love and learn you remain young. The day you stop loving and
learning, you become old.

You Are A Gift. Choose To Thrive. | Mindfulness | Professor M.S. Rao
“You must
work your ass off to achieve success in your life. If success comes instantly,
it goes away instantly. Achieve success in such a way that you sustain and grow
steadily to add value to others. The world needs that special gift you only
have.” ―Professor M.S. Rao
Anybody can
survive in this world but the challenge lies when you want to thrive in this
world. In this regard, we will discuss how to thrive in your life to lead your
life with purpose and meaning.
Those who
survive have a fixed mindset while those who thrive have a growth mindset. So,
develop a growth mindset to thrive and show the path for others. Growth is a
natural phenomenon. Humans evolved from the stone age to the space age as they
dreamed and thrived. Similarly, when you want to thrive, you must dream big and
work smart accordingly to leave your mark.
Thriving is
easier said than done. To thrive in your life, you must follow the road less
traveled. You must stand out from others. You must stay ahead of the competition.
Any Tom,
Dick, and Harry can survive but it requires guts and grit to thrive and leave
your mark to the future generations. Do you live for today or tomorrow? If you
live for today, you survive whereas if you live for tomorrow, you thrive. Therefore,
improve your mindset, toolset, and skillset to thrive in this cut-throat competitive
world. Stay positive. Don’t waste your precious time. Read good books. Don't be
mediocre. Come out of your comfort zone. Be a hustler. Do something that scares
you. Convert threats into opportunities. Remember, you are the creator of your
destiny.
Conclusion
No matter
where you have come from, no matter where you were born, you can still thrive
when you have the determination. People are born and die. You must choose
whether you want to be remembered beyond your lifetime or forgotten soon after
your death. When you want to be remembered, think of thriving, not merely
surviving. To conclude, be ambitious, set realistic expectations, and work
harder and smarter to thrive in your life.

Take Ownership Of Your Life
“See the light in you. Your life is in your hands. Enjoy every moment by looking at the positive aspects. Build a new foundation with the bricks thrown at you. Turn your scars into stars. Life is great.” ―Professor M.S. Rao
Some people
blame the circumstances and the people around them for their problems. They are
part of the problem, not the solution. They perceive the world with pessimism
and cynicism. In this regard, we will discuss the tips to take ownership of
your life to lead your life mindfully and meaningfully.
Tips To Take Charge Of Your Life
How you
think and act depends on various aspects including your past experiences, attitudes,
beliefs, and perceptions. Here are some tips to take ownership of your life. Avoid
negative self-talk. Be positive. Be part of the solution, not the problem.
Don't blame the circumstances. Control what you can within the available
resources, energy, and time. Replace 'can't' with 'can'. Avoid emotional
baggage. Let bygones be bygones. Avoid thinking about your unpleasant past and
worrying about your future. Learn to think about the present. Develop the right
attitude towards the issues and life. Take personal responsibility. Change your
thinking and habits to take ownership of your life.
Create Your Own Destiny
Have an
internal locus of control. Develop the right mindset, toolset, and skillset. Write
your own life story. Take risks. Accept challenges. Be proactive. Be positive.
Be bullish. Your life is in your hands. Understand the power of positive
thinking and visualization. Feed your subconscious mind with affirmations. Don’t
play a victim card. I was born in a toxic family and grew up in a toxic
environment. I created my own destiny without blaming my toxic family by
acquiring education and building my own brand globally as a father of soft
leadership and an international leadership guru. So, don’t blame others. Take
ownership of your life. Create your own destiny.
Everything
can be taken away from you including your assets and resources, not your
education and spirit. Nobody can take away your knowledge, skills, and
abilities. Therefore, equip with good education and great attitude and add
value to the people around you within your capacities to lead your life
mindfully and meaningfully.

Be Yourself | See the Light in You | Mindfulness | Professor M.S. Rao
“See the
light in you. Your life is in your hands. Enjoy every moment by looking at the
positive aspects. Build a new foundation with the bricks thrown at you. Turn
your scars into stars. Life is great.” ―Professor M.S. Rao
People often
compare with successful people and get dejected and depressed when they fail to
achieve success in their lives. They assume that they are inferior to successful
people. They hardly understand the challenges the successful people encountered
to touch their tipping points. It is advisable not to compare with others
especially with successful people. We are different, our attitudes are
different, and our looks are different. The problem arises when we want to live
like somebody. Why do you want to become like somebody and insult God?
Progress takes
its own time. Progress happens at its own pace. Some people achieve success
early, some people achieve success in middle age, some people achieve success
in the old, and some people die as unsung heroes and heroines. Everything
happens for a reason.
How to Excel as an Extraordinary?
Everyone
wants to be extraordinary in the world. When you look at extraordinary
individuals including Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, and Richard Branson, they
never wanted to be someone. Then why do you want to be like someone? Don’t
search for stones by leaving gems at home. You are a hidden gem. Understand
this fact and lead your life meaningfully and mindfully.
Everyone is
gifted with a unique mindset, skillset, and toolset. Identify your gifts and
leverage them effectively to accomplish your goals and objectives. It is a
waste of your precious time, money, energy, and resources to imitate others and
explore their areas. Understand this fact to stand out from others to leave
your mark.
Learn from
others but don’t compare with them. Take successful people as inspiration but
don't compare with them. Remember, you are destined to achieve something
unique. Who wins at the end of the race matters not who leads at the beginning
or the middle of the race. So, keep doing your best without comparing yourself
with others. Compete with yourself.
Raise your bar. Follow your passion and go by the road less traveled to
achieve excellence and excel as an extraordinary. Invest your efforts,
energies, resources, and time productively and consistently. Set a goal, work hard regularly, and
contribute consistently to grow in your life. Enjoy every moment of your life
without losing focus on your destination.
Every dog
has its day. God gives opportunities for all. It is a matter of time. Therefore,
be prepared to rise to the occasion by converting your threats into
opportunities and brickbats into bouquets.
Be a Trailblazer
Be a
trendsetter, not a trend follower. You are a gift from God. You are unique in
this world. Follow the unique path. Lead your life mindfully and meaningfully. Life
is great.
“Don’t
compare your growth with others. When a sunflower blossoms, it just blossoms.
It doesn’t look around to see if the others have blossomed. It is very personal
and very individual. The lesson is not to judge, compete or compare and move
ahead.” ―Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

See the Light in You | Turn Your Wounds Into Wisdom | Professor M.S. Rao
“You rarely
get things on a platter. There's no such thing as a free lunch. Everything
comes at a cost. You must work hard, work smart, and work wisely to establish
yourself and achieve success. If anything comes easily, it goes away easily.
So, work hard to succeed in your life.” ―Professor M.S. Rao
Everyone has
a hidden story. Every successful person has an internal struggle that is unknown
to others. Everything comes at a price. The price is full of struggles,
sufferings, and sacrifices. Ordinary individuals are often carried away by
successful people that the latter had an easy, rosy, and lucky life. Luck has a
limited role to play to achieve success.
I have my
own story. I was born into a toxic family and grew up in a toxic environment.
My mother is a naysayer and complainer and my father was an alcoholic and
litigant. I came out of my toxic family after I joined the Indian Air Force
when I was 18 years old. It was a blessing in disguise.
Life is full
of challenges. It is full of highs and lows. You must be prepared to overcome
challenges with confidence and optimism. You interact with different types of
people. Some appreciate you while some insult you. You must take them in your
stride and move on with valuable takeaways. People ignore you when you fail in your
life. You must understand their true intentions and move forward. Your life is
in your hands.
Tips to Turn Your Scars into Stars
You
understand the value of pleasure only when you undergo pain. You understand the
value of friends when you have bitter experiences with foes. Let go of your
unpleasant past. Forgive and forget the unpleasant people. Thank them for
teaching your valuable lessons. Don’t carry emotional baggage. Here are some
tips to turn your scars into stars. Be positive. Replace your negative talk
with positive talk. Follow your passions. Lead your life mindfully and
meaningfully. Come out stronger from each challenge. Let bygones be bygones.
Live in the present. Do the things that excite you. Become a volunteer. Add value
to others. Make a difference in their lives.
Conclusion
Life is not
a cakewalk. Enjoy every moment by looking at the positive aspects. Build a new
foundation with the bricks thrown at you. Life is in your hands. See the light
in you. Turn your scars into stars. Life is great.
