“Derecognize Private Pharmacy, Medical and Engineering Colleges in Telangana State for Cheating Faculty and Filing Wrong Cases” ―Professor M.S.Rao

“A man of courage never needs weapons, but he may need bail.” ―Lewis Mumford, writer and philosopher

Some of the private pharmacy, medical and engineering colleges in Telangana State don’t pay salaries on time to their faculty. They deliberately delay paying salaries to them to utilize their cash for other commercial activities or to set up new educational institutions. They often blame the government for the delay in receiving fee reimbursement, or their affiliated universities or their students. Some of these colleges don’t pay salary at all to their faculty who leave these fraud colleges to avoid torture and financial hardships arising out of delay in receiving the salaries.  These colleges are notorious for showing to AICTE and their affiliated universities that they pay high salaries to their faculty. But they pay less in reality.  For instance, every month these colleges pay salary through their affiliated banks (where the faculty opens their bank accounts) but they collect the differential amount by taking the signatures from their faculty on withdrawal forms. If the faculty members don’t have bank accounts, these notorious colleges deduct the amount from their inflated salary (mentioned in their records to show to AICTE and affiliated universities) from faculty and pay the actual salary.  If the universities check the bank transactions of these fraud colleges, it is clearly evident about the irregularities and malpractices that are happening presently. Any person with average intelligence can identify and understand these irregularities.   These colleges don’t conduct welfare meetings regularly. They are not faculty friendly. When the faculty goes on leave, they deduct from salary although the faculty was entitled to proceed on leave. The university officials are silent as they have close nexus with the owners of these colleges. Some of the university officials take bribes from these colleges regularly. All these malpractices and irregularities adversely affect both the faculty and students.  If faculty questions the management, they are removed from services arbitrarily. Worse, these fraud colleges also file wrong cases to overcome their irregularities to checkmate the leaving employees. Hence, it is essential to cleanse these colleges from corruption and irregularities.

AICTE and the affiliated universities must take stringent action against these erring private colleges in Telangana State. Ensure that these fraud colleges must not get affiliation from universities. If essential, CBI must intervene to check irregularities in these private educational institutions. Some of the institutions are run by mafia and goons who use all kinds of coercion to suppress faculty and employees. The owners of these private colleges pay huge donations to political parties during elections to keep them in good humor.

Remember, the day corruption enters into Indian Armed Forces and educational institutions, the country will collapse. Hence, AICTE, nodal organizations, affiliated universities, press, patriotic citizens and nonprofit organizations must come forward to cleanse Indian education system and colleges from corruption. Jai Hind!

“If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful minds, I strongly feel there are three key societal members who can make a difference. They are the father, the mother and the teacher.” ― A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

Identify the Spark within You

“You can be anything you want to be, if only you believe with sufficient conviction and act in accordance with your faith; for whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.” – Napoleon Hill

Welcome to Success Sutras for Students: Stay Inspired!    I have authored this book to provide suggestions for students.  During my academic experience I found that the students are beset with several concerns and need clarifications. Some of the concerns don’t have any substance and while some have valid substance. Hence, have I authored this book purely from the perspective of students to address their concerns; provide career guidance; and prepare them to face the corporate world.

The book helps students develop their personality and enhance their employment opportunities. In fact, currently the students are much sharper and smarter with the impact of technology and to prepare them is a major challenge for educators. Students face stiff competition in the workplace also as most of them are smart with great expectations.

Swami Vivekananda – A Symbol of Youth Power

“The greatest sin is to think yourself weak. The remedy of weakness is not brooding over weakness, but thinking of strength.” – Swami Vivekananda

When we talk ‘power of youth’ we recall Swami Vivekananda who is associated with Indian youth, and India celebrates ‘national youth day’ as a mark of respect towards this legend. Nowadays, some youth are misled due to degeneration values and ethics. They are often intoxicated by impatience and intolerance.  They must draw inspiration from Swami Vivekananda whose speech on September 11, 1893 at Parliament of Religions in Chicago is memorable in the history of India. The speech has made a profound impact on the West. The speech symbolizes India’s tolerance toward other religions and communities, and India’s acceptance to assimilate all religions in its fold with magnanimity.

Swami Vivekananda was the first Indian in modern India who highlighted Hinduism in a true perspective to the West, and the latter accepted his views wholeheartedly.  The American newspapers praised Swami Vivekanada’s speech.  The New York Herald wrote, "Vivekananda is undoubtedly the greatest figure in the Parliament of Religions. After hearing him we feel how foolish it is to send missionaries to this learned nation."

Swami Vivekananda represented India’s face globally.  He preached for universal brotherhood.  Commenting on his perspectives and presentation, French Nobel Laureate, Romain Rolland said, "Swami Vivekananda’s words are great music, phrases in the style of Beethoven, stirring rhythms like the march of Handel choruses."

You Have the Power Within You!

At times, some youth are beset with pessimism and cynicism.  They must realize that they have a huge potential lying hidden within them.  They must know how to realize and channel it effectively. When others can do it why cannot they? They must come out of their mental limitations and barriers. They must be positive, and must have an open mind.

The difference between the successful people and the unsuccessful people is that the success people know the tools and techniques and adopt as per the situation whereas the unsuccessful don’t know them.  And successful people focus on their strengths and unsuccessful people brood about their weaknesses. Hence, there is a need to acquire the tools and techniques to succeed in life.  In fact, we humans don’t know how to tap our inner potential. We are beset with several mental limitations. When we overcome such mental limitations and barriers we can achieve everything in this world. Remember that we have so much energy locked inside of us.  Our human mind is incredibly powerful. We must know how to realize, channel and exploit it fully. Here are the tools and techniques to unlock your hidden potential:

  • Surround with positive people.
  • Convert your negative thoughts into positive thoughts by focusing on positive aspects.
  • Look at the ideas, not the individuals.
  • Convert your inner dialogue from negative to positive.
  • Keep motivational quotes around you.
  • Seek professional advice when encountered with repeated negative thoughts.
  • Develop the attitude of gratitude.
  • Don’t look for a hero in others. Instead, look for a hero within yourself.

Remember that success is not permanent and failure is not final. Life is full of peaks and valleys. Don’t get dejected with failures, and don’t get excited with success. Always stay level headed with humility.

Believe in Yourself

Have faith in yourself. Believe in your talents.  Norman Vincent Peale rightly remarked, “Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.”  Program your mind. Unlock your infinite hidden power. Your success depends on your thoughts and you can control your thoughts the way you want. Samuel Smiles said,
“Sow a thought, and you reap an act;
Sow an act, and you reap a habit;
Sow a habit, and you reap a character;
Sow a character, and you reap a destiny.”

Take Feedback

You need to take feedback regularly to grow. Your feedback should not lower your self-esteem.  Remember that your self-criticism is your feedback. Nobody can put you down unless you put down yourself. Eleanor Roosevelt rightly said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”  Don’t get dejected by criticism. Take it in your stride and move on with confidence and mettle. Everything is there in your mind. If you think you are successful, you are successful.  You can achieve anything and everything in this world. Dream big and achieve big!

Develop a great attitude because your attitude determines your altitude of success.  To acquire a great attitude, replace the negative thoughts in your mind with positive thoughts. Set goals so that you can stay focused clearly. You can manage your time. You can enhance longevity. Above all, you can provide meaning to your life through goal-setting.

Convert Your Scars into Stars

Convert your weaknesses into strengths. Don’t look at the door that is closed. Look at the door that is open. Remember what Swami Vivekananda said, “All great undertakings are achieved through mighty obstacles. Keep up the deepest mental poise. Take not even the slightest notice of what puerile creatures may be saying against you. Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached.”

Stay Inspired!

Stay inspired from the messages of Swami Vivekananda.  You are rightly placed in the history of India! Mother India is calling you to shoulder the leadership roles and responsibilities. Make your mother India proud by unlocking your hidden potential. You have the power within you. Unlock your potential. Explore, experiment, and grow. Prove yourself the best. Make your parents proud, and make your country proud.  You were born to stand out.  Remember the sage words of spiritual teachers, Ed and Deb Shapiro: "In every moment, no matter what is going on, you have the power within you to transform both yourself and your life.'"

We will discuss in detail about the success sutras and sage advices for students to succeed personally, professionally and socially in the following chapters.

“Always give your best, never get discouraged, never be petty; always remember, others may hate you, but those who hate you don't win unless you hate them, and then you destroy yourself.” - Richard Nixon

Remember: Stay inspired!

“Extraordinary Educators Influence, Impact and Inspire Students to Grow as Leaders” ―Professor M.S.Rao

“A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart.” ― Anonymous

Every educator intends to teach effectively in the classroom. However, their teaching pedagogy and styles are different.  Some educators teach by reading the academic text books. Some educators teach by reading academic books and referring more number of books to share their knowledge with students. Some educators teach by reading academic and reference books and sharing their ideas and insights  and experience. However, there are a very few educators who go out of the way by thinking round the clock about their students and sharing their knowledge, experience, ideas and insights and to inspire students. Such educators leave everlasting impression in the minds and hearts of their students. In fact, students prefer listening to lectures from such inspiring educators.

Nowadays, students are more intelligent than educators globally. They are well informed and equipped with technology. The present generation of educators are not technologically savvy. But the young generation of students are technologically savvy. Currently the difference between the educators and students is that educators have immense knowledge and experience whereas students don’t have knowledge and experience of particular disciplines. Hence, students attend teaching sessions to acquire knowledge and experience from their educators with very high expectations. Hence, the educators must understand the aspirations and expectations of the present generation of students and rise up to their expectations to ensure effective takeaways.

Characteristics of Inspiring Educators

"We should learn something and teach something every day of our lives." ― Denis Waitley

Inspiring educators step into the shoes of their students to understand the challenges. They enhance focus in their students and help students dream big.  They create spark in their students. They convert their students as better personalities. They inspire and reform the students with negative attitude through counseling. They build positive attitude in students and change the mindset.

Inspiring educators challenge their students to think unconventionally and create excitement about learning. They help students unlock their hidden potential.  They explore and experiment new teaching and learning styles.  They research a lot to add value to their existing knowledge. They often think about their students. Precisely, they are very passionate to make a difference in the lives of their students.

Conclusion

The ordinary educators build confidence in their students while the extraordinary educators build confidence to enhance contribution to build a better society and world.

The digital technology has changed the face of the world. The educators must reinvent as per the changing times and technologies to update their knowledge to stay relevant and competent to win respect from their students.  To conclude, any educator can share their knowledge but only a few passionate educators share beyond their knowledge and experience to influence, impact and inspire students.  India needs such inspiring educators to groom students as great personalities and leaders.

"Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength of the nation." ― John F. Kennedy
